I didn't mean that you should actually be in the shelter, only be there to find Willow. Too early yet I guess. If you don't like museums or zoos, most cities and even small towns have a beautiful tree here and there. I have seen some, even in D.C. And most of them also have sunrises and even sunsets if you look a bit west. And if you look up the Canada geese are starting to go north. Do they only have 30 day student visas? Hope not.
Sent you a P.M. R.S.V.P.

I answered your PM dear Bill.

And sorry, that was rude of me before....I wasn't feeling very well, or thinking straight. I have our lovely courtyard, and I live in a gorgeous area with tons of trees ~ I just need to go and walk. Explore.

It took me more than three weeks to even get a decent night's sleep, and I just wasn't in a good frame of mind to go and do....really not like me. Not at all.

I will get there...I hope.

Thank you for being patient with me.

And GHD has just given me some wonderful advice re finding my feet here.
I am very grateful for every bit of advice, really.

My wife and I had some bumps in the road consisting in [this material has been deleted since it might adversely affect tender minds]. Now that you know this [do you?] you may be encouraged that, sixty two years later, we seem to have gotten used to married life. (But I'm still on probation). After spending 2/3 of my net worth on a wedding and engagement ring, we took the remaining $250 and went to France on the cheap, by driving to Quebec. There we lived in a garret like in Puccini's "La Boheme". On the way back we camped out and cooked our dinner over a campfire and vomited all night because something went wrong. We went to the Hudson's Bay Company and bought a blue mohair throw and I teased the salesgirl by asking, "Is this pure wool? Is it really the hair of the "Mo"? " We also bought an eskimo sculpture (we have it still). A walrus, which we called "Mr. W. L, Russ".
Go thou and do likewise! But omit the vomit! I know that Princess Diana made it fashionable but I'd really advise against it. You blokes gotta decide about that.

That's all Mate!

I put up this post but it didn't take. All I wanted to say, Suze, was that one week from day after tomorrow you'll be back safe and sound in Columbus and you won't have to go flyabout any more. Just walkabout. And soon "Willow" will be in charge of the whole tribe! Obamacat! Probably got a scotch/irish/russo-polish pedigree!

Nick and I are doing a lot better....we love each other, and we are working through all of this.

Dee helped me a great deal the other night, and we both benefited from that.
We were able to talk about everything in a more honest and open way than we had before...we are both doing all that we can to make this work.

One thing for sure, I know I am depressed and I am not ignoring it. Situational depression is as real and as devastating as any other kind, and needs to be treated. These things don't magically go away by ignoring them, or by wishful thinking.

So we are making sure I get treatment, and we are doing that now.

So much love and gratitude to all of you....it means the world to me that you care: you are my family. ♥

Hi Suze:
Getting treatment for that depression is a fine idea. I've been depressed on and off for years. Runs in the family. Genetic. My mom was very depressed her whole life. A cat or pet helps. Helps a lot. I also take medication and focus on exercise. The latter (exercise) results in a noticeable improvement. Get a good doctor on this and follow her or his advice. Just the times in which we live cause stress. Times are "out of joint" as that young bloke Hamlet used to say. Good luck on that.
"Now hear this!" as they say in the Navy. We're all with you and Nick, behind you and rooting for you for the "duration" (forever) as my mom used to say.

Just some food for thought...............

"That two people fall in love and decide to see if their love might stand up over time, if there might be enough grace and forgiveness and the occasional memory lapse to hold their love together into the fullness of time. That we celebrate the commitment to this work , to the joy, to the inevitable struggles, to the energy that is both sweet and deep that the two people exude in their love for each other. That we celebrate our senses of humor and patience and the greatest and cost of enduring love."
Ann Lamott

I did not hear the words you said, instead I heard the Love. Kris
