I'm so sorry for your loss, MITA. We had a lab just like your Hana. You gave her a wonderful life. Lean on us, we're here for you

Thanks Dee, and thanks everyone.

Hana came to us both physically and emotionally scarred. She made us better as people and as a family.

I'm sure many here can relate to trying to get their kids to do their fair share of work. But when your 13yr old son goes out and shovels a path in 3' of snow for the dog to run when he's never shoveled before or when your daughter waits by the back door to clean the mud off your muddy dog when she won't clean her own bathroom, you know you've got a keeper.

Hug someone today.

Sam I hate to keep harping on relapse prevention but I just wanted you know, in case you don't, that emotional distress could be a sign of phase 1 relapse!!!

Be cautious!

Thanks BBG! I was thinking along the same lines...I have been completely off with everything - my eating, exercise, sleep, laundry....so that's the stuff i am going to focus on today...getting my life back in order.

Hi everyone, Happy Sunday!

Sam, hope you enjoy your day off. Sometimes we need a day to just rest our minds and regroup.

BBG, startin' fluid and an alcohol free day sound great.

We're supposed to be getting a major snowstorm tomorrow night into Wednesday. At least a foot of snow. Of course, my AV is screaming you should get some wine to have while you're snowed in. No, no, no. One day of drinking will turn into another binge and I'm not going back there again. The last one was too scary.

Hope everyone is doing well. So glad we all have each other

Holy crap the concert is next Sunday - I've been eating fast food like crazy & haven't been to the gym in almost 2 weeks! Purps needs to get to steppin'!

My AV whispered in my ear a little while ago. I'm on day 12 and I've had trouble making it past 21 days for the last year.

I easily kicked the ole hag to the curb but I know I'm gettin' close to my historical relapse time and her showing up scares me!

Well the house is clean, laundry is done, I have eaten well and exercised...all is well in the world again. Funny how such basic things affect me...

LB - we are expecting the same weather here....old man Winter seems to be having one last laugh at our expense

Purplrks - we have been eating out non-stop lately too...it has to end...lol

BBG - I think it is great how well you know yourself and how you are so in tune with the early signs of relapse. And we are getting you past 21 days...no if, and's, or buts about it!

Hi Bobbie! Happy Sunday to you too!

Well off to make a tea and read for a bit

Wish me luck....I am attempting to color my own hair ~ OK so I know I won't get to talk to him at the concert, he's married and I'm not a home wrecker, but I'm tired of looking like Cruella Deville!

PS I've been to the gym and Starbucks with an extra shot of espresso....bouncin' off the walls a little!

Purp - I have a ton of gray hair. Whenever I take too long in between color, DD temper nds me my grays are showing.

Sam - Take care of yourself. Hope the day off has you feeling recharged and re-centered.

I lined up my painter last night...my neighbor friend said he is available. So I'll be in prep mode for the next few weekends. Did a lot of decluttering last night and today. Felt good. Still have quite a bit to do.

Make a plan BBG - think of what you can do, strategies for next time she calls?
