Phoenix, I'm so very glad you stumbled upon us. Certainly you did the right thing by helping that man. I know it's officially against the rules but these were extenuating circumstances - he was locked out. I would have done the same thing.

You must have a very artistic soul - glad to hear you're doing some writing. What a great outlet along with your art. For me physical exercise is key - I need the endorphins to get me through the anxious feelings.

I think I might need yoga as an oasis from stress.

I need to resurrect my DVD player. My daughter gave me a beginning yoga DVD several Christmases ago. There's only a tiny rectangle of room to do it, but at least I could try.

G- all the talk in March '16 class- is goat yoga. Someone uploaded a video of it. I did ask about elephant yoga- but most seem to prefer soft anim
al- not hard core commando animal yoga.

I'm more in the market for something soft, like chinchilla yoga.

Yes, PJ, the goat yoga was in the news here because that farm is only about 1 1/2 hours drive from here. I used to go by there fairly often but didn't get overrun by goats! I know recovery of all kinds is painful but to me it feels more like the kind of pain that symbolizes healing. That association may be more in retrospect but I do believe that the really worthwhile things in life come mostly with effort. I'm also very glad you joined our terrific Marchers!

Sassy- perhaps that is why elephant yoga seems so appealing.
And yes- for me growth only seems to come with effort, pain and hard work.

hi there PJ ! Glad your here.
How is everyone doing ? I myself have mixed feelings. It was such a build up for me to make it a year and now I feel blah-----oh oh ---is that a poor pitty me party coming on ? I just want to be that happy every day I guess. But attitude has a lot to do with it. so SEEEEEEE ! I talked myself out of it. I'm ok now.
Going to finish putting a puzzle together and then maybe bake something.
Have a good day everyone.

Hi North! Always nice to see you pop in!

Babs, this is an especially important time to work on your resolve. For me, coming here to SR every day is an amazing way for me to stay on track. It's sort of like re-dedicating myself to staying sober each and every day :-). I seem to need that.

Babs I had that same feeling of anti climax after the first soberversary, kind ' ok so that happened, what now? You should pop into the 'year and over thread', ( does what it says in the tin) it's about what we do now going forward. I know you've been at this point before, but another form of support can't hurt.

Goat yoga? Well, I guess it would tenderise the meat nicely.

Remember when I was luxuriating with my broth in the hotel last week?

Well, I got the results back from my test. I am completely healthy. A bit odd, perhaps--but not ill.

PJ--all of the above!

Physically I'm not totally normal--but apparently it's not a problem.

Good news Gilmer----
Going to AA again today---looking forward to it.
Yup it's going on again. Hubby and I had a disagreement again last night.
Gosh, it's getting old. But, I don't even stay mad anymore. I just stayed up late and worked on a puzzle. ha ha like they say---out of site out of mind.
Have a good day guys.

Well, I'm back in the U.K. A guy started talking to me at the airport while he waited for his wife to return with some drinks. He asked me if I lived near Luton, the airport I was flying into. I said no, my mom is really ill with a bad chest infection and needs me to go home to care for her. My dad cant because he's in hospital with a broken leg. My brother can't because after a mini stroke last week he's not allowed to drive, my other brothers wife, who normally picks up the slack is not well herself, so I am leaving my hubby, on his birthday to fly home from the sun to the freezing cold. I started laughing and said I think I have the makings of a country song there!!
So please, positive thoughts for my poor ma who really is feeling poorly and is very run down. Me? Well, I'm missing hubby of course, and the warmth, but I get to cuddle my dog.

Babs, it's amaxing how we can act rationally rather than emotionally if we just allow ourselves to take a step back and think before we speak. Well done on not letting hubby rile you. X
