My mom's surgery went well and they think they got all of the cancer but will confirm Tuesday. Such a relief!

Mum said that dad was feeling a little better yesterday, no more transfusions and the only pain came from his broken leg!

Up at dark o clock ready for my travels, 3 weeks this time, still lots to do.

Hello Sassy- ghosting by. I am a self saucing miserable git at the moment. It is Easter and I miss my 2 sons heaps. Have not spoken to me for 2 years- respect that, but still decided to feel sorry for myself. Not any thoughts of drinking.

Toots---Happy to hear your dad is better. It's tough to see them sick or out of sorts and I think it is especially hard at the Holiday.
Duff that cancer stuff is nasty--glad to hear things are going well.

I forgot to tell you ===I went to the library yesterday to get the book that Toots recommended I get and it was already sent back to the main library. so, they are ordering it again. My head would be lost if it weren't fastened on. ha ha ha

(((Phoenix))) It sux. I'm sorry you're so down. I'm so devastated when my boys aren't here sometimes that I can't breathe. I do believe that your boys will come around in time but right now I'm just very sorry.

Thanks, adopted classies. Self saucing misery is an observation, with a bit of padody and humour. Just pi$$ing and moaning sometimes helps. Sons are not in my control. BUT I do not have to be happy about it,. I am going to meeting, keep my stuff up- house proud wise and do my art. This time laast year was, well shared enough of that- in a much better place. SP helps. Saturday here- perfect Autumn day. Be kind to yourselves. I think all who post and read are doing good- even those without beards.

PJ I know your sons are older now, but would you be able to do any volunteer work with youngsters? It might help you a little and would certainly help them, somone with your life experiences, humour and wisdom would have a heck of a lot to offer. It doesn't bring your sons any closer, but as you say, you aren't in control of their actions. You have reached out to them, all you can do now is continue living a good, sober life and hope that one day they will make their own mistakes and begin to realize how easy it is to do.

Dad is still having problems, ( don't read the following if you're eating) - a compacted bowel is adding to his misery. I'm keeping in touch with mum every day, it's her I'm more worried about, other than my Molly she is in the house on her own and I hate if she has anything happen. Fortunately she has great neighbours who all look out for each other without living in each other's pockets, so anything slightly remiss and someone will go in looking.

Must get a move in, I have paint to buy today - hopefully if anywhere is open and they have what I am looking for! If not I have to do what I can until Tuesday. Also I am buying a second hand car this week, nothing straight forward here in Spain, it has to be checked and I have to prove I own a place here etc etc etc furniture arriving Wednesday, kitchen arriving Thursday fitters arriving Friday, husband arriving Saturday...... And in between I have to try and get two rooms decorated!
Wtf am I sitting here posting for! I should make life a leaf and blow! ( or something like that!!!) lol

PJ 20+ years ago my daughter didn't talk to me for 6 months. She even blocked my emails. That was incredibly painful. We stay in touch now but it has never been the same as before. Sad. I hope your sons will give you another chance. Toots has some good ideas.

Speaking of which, Toots, I'm going to call you EB (Energizer Bunny). I'm ready for a nap after reading all you are doing!
