Class of March 2013 Part 50
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Digdug !
How is everyone doing ? I was gone a bus trip for a day and eve. and I feel now that I have been away for awhile. As you can tell, it doesn't take much. ha ha
I just found out that a person that I use to work with has acute leukemia --I really don't know much about it but, I'm scared for him. He did text me and I need to go and visit him but, just heard he's sick from the chemo. I feel sooo bad. I guess I will call him and see how he is doing before going to the hospital.
Hope everyone is doing good. I'm going to AA at noon again today. and looking forward to it.

I'm going to have a new medical procedure on Saturday. The doctor sent me out of town to a distant place, so I'm currently at a hotel near the imaging facility. I went shopping for all the preparation stuff I need, and I just had a nice, relaxing shower.
I have some homework to get out of the way; but I plan to spend the evening propped up with the pillows watching the hotel's cable TV.
It reminds me of the other times I was by myself in a hotel far away from home: from 2010-2012 I had to go to Philadelphia every six months to get laser surgery on my left eye. The procedures were in the morning, and my routine was to walk back to the hotel, prop myself up on the bed, and watch "Intervention." (That was long before I acknowledged my own drinking problem).
I hope they've got something similar on tonight.

Yes, Gilmer! Prayers for you. What time on Saturday so I can pray even more vigilantly?
And prayers for your friend, too, Babs. That's such a tough one.
Sass, thanks for asking about me. There is actually a lot going on right this moment. We had our first "real" hearing today (meaning evidentiary, testimony, witnesses, etc.). Ugh! It was horrible. My ex lied on the stand - under oath. My accountant looked at me and asked "and you're surprised?" Well, yes. I know he's a liar, but I really didn't think he would lie under oath. You all know I'm not perfect, by far, but it seriously would not occur to me to lie under oath. I had to answer some questions I didn't want to, but I told the truth. How am I supposed to forgive and co-parent with this? Yet forgive I must.
There's more ... my mom is going in for thyroid cancer surgery in the morning. When it rains...right? I worry only because she's going to be 81 soon - I hate that she has to go under.
Ah well, no one said life was going to be easy. Off for a bath and bed. xoxo

My procedure is at noon Saturday, Duff, thanks for asking. I'm sorry that your ex was an ass; hopefully your team can catch him in his lies.
I will be praying for you, too.
Well, I am now officially propped up! Let the TV watching begin!

Duff you know you can hold your head high after telling the truth. This will truly be over at some point. It's now almost 25 years since I last had to deal with my ex and I'm so grateful.
Gilmer sending prayers that all will go well for you. That sounds like a very long prep!

Oh Duff. I hope your mom is ok. My dad is 80 next month, quad bypass, on warfarin & diabetic & he came through ok. i will send positive thoughts her way. As to your almost ex, an arrogant man lacking in respect and integrity will see no difference lying on the stand to lying anywhere else. Perhaps he even believes his lies. You know the truth and held to your truth with dignity. Whatever else happens, you are a winner. Be strong.
Gilmer, healing thoughts your way too sweetheart, I hope the procedure is straightforward.
I love manatees too! Saw them at seaworld last year, first time in the flesh.
Babs I hope you get to see your friend. He will appreciate it I'm sure.

My dad is still having some problems, though we are not being told much which is frustrating. His leg is ok, though he is still waiting for physio, as he has been unwell medically. He has had blood transfusions though the won't tell us why, and yesterday was getting agonising pains in his arm/ shoulder. My mum is obviously worried, and I have had to leave her to return to Scotland. I have today to sort my things out and fly early tomorrow to Spain.
G- so the hotel you are in has good amanetees? That means you will be there to see-kow-t new information that will not give you g-reef. I know if it gets boring and are stuck in the mud- you would have dug-on-,g...oing forward.
I might be fishing here I sea-wee-d,-id our best. Any more crap from me and you WILLfeel g-reef- a great barrier of it. If you were driving you would probably squid the tyres- thank cod that did not happen. Keep S- MARLIN!
