Suze- books are friends. Perhaps as suggested- think of a good home for them. A local interest group- whatever. Perhaps just a phone call- tell 'em what is there and if they care to pick it all up- it is theirs.
Just remember it is not one big problem. It is lots of little things stuffed together in the same head-space. Write down all the simple things- real or mindset down on a to do list. Then focus on what is have to do- right now and take a 10 minute break. Go for a quick walk down the beach, have a nana nap. Remember HALTS.

Dee mentioned calling the Salvos.

The Salvation Army and Goodwill (here) will take all books except textbooks and encyclopedias. If you are offering the bookshelf, the Salvos may pick up the books, too.

I had a major cull a few years back and Lifeline took several cartons of books - they came and picked them up.

Furniture can be trickier but if whoever wants the books won't take the bookcase if you do a little internet search today I'm sure you'll find a charity or an community group that accepts furniture and will pick it up, Suze.

If it's like here, if you leave it behind they will let it sit there until your bond is used up.

Thank you Dee and Leigh ~ but no, they won't.
I have called everyone.
Every single charity here.
No one will take it.

The rubbish guys will take my bookshelf. No problem.
I am paying for that....but I can't move any more books.

My only option is to leave it.
It's wrong.

I am sorry to be talking about this here....kind of desperate at this point.

I have to decide if I can live with myself re all of this....yes, it sounds melodramatic. Sorry. Just my truth.

Here is to all of our Milestoners, another Dr. Suess themed cake to celebrate the wonderful things sobriety brings us, and to kick off the weekend!

3:41 in California and I am sitting poolside at a hotel, enjoying the fact that I am the only one here! I am attending a leadership conference all day tomorrow, and I got to sneak out of work early today to drive there. It is just me, my iPad, a book, a bag of pretzels, and two blackberry infused waters. Hope everyone is doing well.

Suze, have you tried the library, or a local school? I know here we have a few websites like offer up, and you can list items you are trying to sell, or donate. Is there something like that by you? You can always post free, to whoever is able to pick the stuff up.

Thank you ~ but I tried already.

Same with my car ~ I tired....just hours and hours of my time with no result.
I am selling it for scrap.
They are coming on Tuesday.

Sweet Suze,

Can your friends help you?

Take a break. Tomorrow is another day.

It will all work itself out.
