Morning friends!!
Well back to work today and I have to say I am not feeling much better. But I am putting one foot in front of the other, making lemonade out of lemons and all that jazz.
Will have to be very careful this week and cognicent of my AV...we are short staffed at work so I am doing some AM shifts, some PM shifts and a back to back thrown in for good measure. Stress and disruption of my routine are huge triggers for me.
PJ - don't forget to pack us in a box and mark us unbreakable. Thinking of you. Hugs.
Well better get at it. Startin' fluid doesn't make itself...sadly.

Sam - good for recognizing your triggers. Hope the rest of the week isn't too stressful.
Today is my Friday. I have tomorrow and Friday off for some RNR. Looking forward to some (sober) down time!!

Thought for the Day
If alcoholism were just a physical allergy, like asthma or hay fever, it would be easy for us, by taking a skin test with alcohol, to find out whether or not we're alcoholics. But alcoholism is not just a physical allergy. It's also a mental allergy or obsession. After we've become alcoholics, we can still tolerate alcohol physically for quite a while, although we suffer a little more after each binge and each time it takes a little longer to get over the hangovers. Do I realize that since I have become an alcoholic, I cannot tolerate alcohol mentally at all?
Meditation for the Day
The world doesn't need super men or women, but supernatural people. People who will turn the self out of their lives and let Divine Power work through them. Let inspiration take the place of aspiration. Seek to grow spiritually, rather than to acquire fame and riches. Our chief ambition should be to be used by God. The Divine Force is sufficient for all the spiritual work in the world. God only needs the instruments for His use. His instruments can remake the world.
Prayer for the Day
I pray that I may be an instrument of the Divine Power. I pray that I may do my share in remaking the world.
With this, I feel the NA step 3 prayer goes hand in hand.
"Take my will and my life, Guide me in my recovery, Show me how to live."

Good morning all! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers yesterday. I slept like a rock last night. What a difference in sleep from 2 months ago. I still have some off nights but for the most part I sleep sooo good now that I've put a little distance between alcohol and myself.
We have swim class this morning then lots of school. We took yesterday off and monday was a hoilday.
