Class of January 2017 Support Thread Part 3
Got bored with ghosting.
My GSD has a nerve issue with his rear leg following a collision two years ago. Consequently, he has chewed off two of his toes so he is under 24 hour surveillance for a while. I have the night shift and sleep some during the day. (Saves me having to talk to Mrs Sparkos I suppose!!(she's still drinking daily))
So here I am bored.
Amuse me classmates.

Just woke up for Day 7, feeling great. Last night was my best sleep i've had over these 7 days.
Little bit of work this morning and then going to hit up the news Resident Evil 7 Biohazard video game on PC.
Woot! Come at me world.

You never fail to amuse me, Dee.
Yeah, poor thing. He's happy enough most of the time, but gets preoccupied with hi s foot. Tried everything to get him to stop, but have to resort to constant monitoring for a while.

Evening of Day 17 here and just finishing up dinner. Today has been the best day so far for energy, so Michael66 you can have some of mine too. I figure it may go up and down for awhile, but today its up in a good way. I was able to concentrate all day at work, often working on multiple tasks at once when I got temporarily blocked on one and moved on to the other. This is so different than 2.5 weeks ago when I could barely keep my mind on 1 task for most of the work day and needed breaks constantly to clear my head.
I made it to a noon AA meeting on my lunch break, as I'm lucky that there's a noon meeting a few days a week about a block from my work. I'm also planning to take off in a bit for my evening meditation class.
The clear-headedness really helped today too combined with the energy. I just want to encourage everyone in their first week especially to push through the early sobriety fog (or if you relapsed, get back on the horse and push through it again). I really feel like a completely different person today than I did 17 days ago. I'm sure it wont be like this every day, but today I'll take it.
Hang in there everyone

Hi everyone! I'm sneaking in. I quit on January 1st but didn't come back to SR right away. I'd love to be part of this class and follow everyone's journey. I've been struggling with trying to moderate for years. Finally decided to pull the plug on that fruitless endeavor. Cheers to new beginnings!!!
Today can most definitely be your day 1 stillsleeping
Take it, own it and make the most of it, because it's your last ever day one.
Make you plan. Stick to it. Modify as necessary. Do whatever it takes to stay sober and treat yourself to sobriety.
You and all of us in this class deserve it.

My night shift is over.
Doggy still has three of his toes.
Compassionate Mindfulness, AVRT, self forgiveness and gentle acceptance. Just saying!
Peace, Love and Strength my friends.

Thanks for the welcome Sparkos. Glad to hear your pup is doing okay. Ours was hit by a bus a couple of months ago - little bgger gave us a few sleepless nights!
I'm in the grip of a two year relapse and am fighting to see a way out of it. Coming to SR got me clean the first time around so I'm hoping like hell it'll remind me I can do it again. Even reading your stories over the last few days has helped. I'd forgotten that everyone finds it a nightmare to start with lol. Just remembered how happy I was when I was sober and kicking myself in the teeth that I couldn't commit.
Here's to day one! It's 07:09 here - just fifteen hours of willpower to get through...
