Class of May 2016 Support Thread Part 9
Hi all,
@Sim - great to hear good things coming from your new job.
@Elke - you've now done two more cartwheels than I've ever managed in my life
I have been having a hard time with my av lately...I don't know why. Thought I'd come here for some fresh air and sunshine.

Hi everyone & Happy Friday!
Ok, work update.....this week has been a bit of a frenzy. New job jitters, working with different docs, different staff, & adapting to the pace of the new place. So I'm making adjustments in prioritization to better accommodate the pace and not sweating the small stuff. I'm detecting some undertones of strife with the co-workers......guess that's everywhere....so I've decided and I'm officially playing Switzerland and remaining neutral throughout my employment there I'm not there to make friends, just a paycheck so I shall be friendly to all, do my work to the best of my ability, avoid other people's drama and sweetly dismiss the gossip, while refusing to take things personally. You can't please everybody all the time.
I'm so very grateful to be sober. There is zero way I had the emotional stability/maturity while drinking to evaluate a situation and plot my course of action logically.

Happy Saturday Everyone! Ok so here's the plan for today. I made PB & coconut eggs yesterday evening and have been chilling them throughout the night......this morning they get their chocolate coating. This has ALWAYS been the biggest pain in the @ss for me. I never get it quite right so I've done some research in preparation for the annual "coating of eggs" or as it's better know in our household, the annual "swear-fest". Fingers crossed the research will pay off. Wish me luck.
Assuming I survive candy making, we'll be getting the grandson around noon and the rest of the tribe will be rolling in for dinner! It's the little things in life that bring me immense joy these days! I'm so glad I weathered the storm through getting sober. It took me a full 10 months after quitting drinking to feel any regular balance in my life......but now that it's here, I wouldn't trade it for the world!
PJ-It's good to put a face to the name! If I ever learn how to post pics I may be daring enough to do a distant side profile-lol.
Toot-How you doing today?
Wishing everyone a great day! and a Happy Easter!

My chocolatiering was a smashing success! 9 Dozen eggs coated in a record amount of time with NO, I repeat, NO SWEARING! I even used the left over chocolate in candy molds! Life is good and so is the candy......I had to sample it for quality control purposes Now the clean-up begins!

Happy Monday Hope everyone had a nice holiday! We had a big Easter dinner at my mom's place (yum) and with the growing family we're running out of seats! I'm sure one day I'll take over cooking for the holidays but for now, I just get to enjoy and then wash the dishes
Elke- yes ma'am, peanut butter eggs! They're delicious! Got plenty left over if you get a chance to drop by!

I'm really glad you're back Joandmelandhan
I know it's freakin' hard, but try not to lose yourself in fear.
The best thing you can do now is not drink and not contribute any more to any liver problems.
