Happy Saturday Mayflies!
Yep, I'm done! Wohoo! Last day ended up being a long one due to call ins but you couldn't wipe the smile off my face all day long-even during overtime!
I had planned a nice relaxing Friday but as fate would have it, not so. My new employer emailed requesting a copy of all my clearances (FBI, Child Abuse, and State Police)......they were assuming all were current due to my current employment but they're expired soooooo I spent most of the morning online registering for all the necessary checks, followed by racing across town to get fingerprinted. Dear God I've been finger printed more times in my career than a criminal!
End result-all clearances should be back within a couple of weeks and I can still start the new job on Monday-Thank you Jesus!
So with all of that completed, I headed back home to begin relaxing.....this is when my 22 year old son decided to show up and dump all of his 2016 tax info into my lap. Turns out he waited to the last minute to file his taxes (shocker) and he is now unable to get an appt. So he did what he knew to do......go ask mom for help
What a pain in the a$$! He's a little job hopper so lapses in health insurance coverage led to a 5 hour tax preparation with all the new healthcare laws in effect here in the US. My God, it would been easier to launch a missile!
By that time, my "relaxing" Friday was over, any intention I had of posting went out the window as I couldn't bring myself to sit in front of the computer for 1 more second!
Ahh now Saturday....this morning I will be working on my exit interview so I can drop it in the post before the mail goes. After that it's set-up for my daughter-in-laws baby shower at 1. Mustn't forget to pick up the balloons and flowers on my way there......
AND AFTER THAT it's relaxing time! Ahhhhhh

Oh Sim, blimey you had a busy day! Today was a busy day for me but luckily most of it outdoors. Everyone had wine with their supper tonight. Except me of course. But I was the one to buy it and to serve it. I remembered how I used to drink that stuff while cooking and being tipsy before everyone else even had a sip. Tonight I didn't even like the smell of it.

Finally done with all the hoopla! Exit interview off to the powers that be. Twas savagely professional and I included a print out of the US Dept of Labor's definition of Workplace Harassment (informational purposes only). I Think they'll catch what I'm throwing down 
and if they don't, well then they deserve any future suit slapped against them.
The baby shower was delightful! Baby girl was stole the show
And I'm happy to report she called me Oma several times 
The new little miss is due on May 11th! I can scarcely wait to kiss her up and welcome her to this wonderfully imperfect family of hers!
And now my much anticipated time of relaxation commences! Ahhhhhhhh!

Tminus-1 day to my new job! Which makes this the last day to catch up on my housecleaning It's beautiful day here in the northeast! Darest I say, spring has finally sprung in our neck of the woods! 
I'm so grateful for the mild temps and sunshine that I could do a cartwheel! Think I may in fact go outside and do a cartwheel, just cuz Yes....I can in fact still do a cartwheel though nearing 40. At least I think I can. I shall have to get back to you on that one.....
Alrighty, I've delayed this long enough.....Commence cleaning-palooza!

Thanks Toot, glad you're well. I know the feeling, our broadband likes to play up and it can be frustrating.

Good morning and Happy Tuesday Everyone!
1st day went great! I was greeted with a welcome bag in my locker and management is buying lunch all week for the center to welcome me aboard! And I'm getting paid more......What? Did I just die and go to surgery center heaven? If I'm dreaming.....don't wake me....zzzz!
Ready to head out the door for day 2 and actually looking forward to it That's a welcomed change!

Hi everyone! Day 2 and things are still good! Everyone at the new place has been super helpful and welcoming and I'm noticing an overall decompression of stress. I feel lighter, less weighed down emotionally and mentally and it feels great to leave work at work! Onward & upward!

Wishing everyone a Happy and Sober Easter! We're still in the middle of lambing and it's going well so far.
I managed 2 good cartwheels Sim! Surprised myself really. It took me back to my youth when my best friend and I were practicing it.
