Watching the London crap. It defines human's to attempt to seek so semblance of understanding in unusual, stressful and surreal experiences. Selfies of people with the dead, my local train station here- having more police present today. To find a strand of security when stuff is not in our control. I do that.
Today I have stated the whole process of applying for housing- again, 7 months later from first round. So hours more waiting for burns specialists, psychologist, doctor- support letters. All of everything- again even tho they already have it.
So my way of dealing with my surreal stuff (like having to consider getting a second hand couch- when I have one of 2 beautiful Chesterfield's not 30 minutes from where I sit) to maintain respect, privacy and prevent ignition of bad feelings with the ex) by art, writing and posting crappy jokey things here.
UGH, CRAP. CRUD. and lots of really, really non sexist rude words. For some reason, my right arm has started hurting.

Wonderful news Sim, congratulations, I'm sooo pleased for you.

Yep, I'm a bit busy but enjoying it, when the house is finished we will move in. I'm sooooooo looking forward to it. It can be quite a challenge to live in MIL house for over 4 years now
The website is almost finished. It has been a weekend job mostly. I'm waiting to hear from a couple of potential customers. Fingers crossed.

My other half asked me to make him a drink tonight, brandy and coke, my favorite, and I did it but boy felt it strange to fix a drink after all this time but I didn't feel like picking up. It was more a sense of pride I felt for being sober and not dependent on that stuff anymore.

Wishing everyone a good and sober Thursday X

(((PJ))) I can't imagine how very frustrating all of this must be for you. Hell, I feel frustrated for you just reading about all the red tape and hoops you need to jump through just to secure the most basic of human needs.
As far as the ex goes, I think it's says a lot about your character that you're willing to value peace over property. Divorce and navigating through all the crap that comes with it often clouds people's sensitivity towards one another. And it's especially hard when the other party is less sensitive towards you. You have my utmost respect for the forethought and sensitivity you're giving to the situation.
Though discouraged at the moment, never forget the Phoenix rises!
I hope you'll get you're arm checked out if it continues to bother you. Thinking of you friend and sending lots of love and positive vibes your way

An official Happy Thursday All! I can't sleep I've been having nagging back pain for days.....woke up at 0130 in horrible pain and couldn't get back to sleep. I'm thinking I will sleep good tonight though out of sheer exhaustion if nothing else.
Thanks for all the love on securing the new job! I think it's going to be a good move on many levels. A-I won't need to deal with crazy boss lady. B-I picked up some really good vibes off the place. They seemed to be organized, foster a team approach toward patient care, and the employees I met seemed genuinely pleasant, laid back, and happy. C-The clinical director seemed to have a good rapport with the employees...which says a lot! Cherry on top is the raise.....I would have settled for what I'm making now....so that fact that they offered me more speaks volumes! That being said, I won't really know until I'm there but all signs point to this being a good move!
Elke-Sorry, I'm a cotton headed ninny muggings! I thought you were moving out, not in! Well this changes everything! Sounds like a real labor of love and I'm sure once its finished it will have been well worth it! Glad to hear that the website is almost complete and you already have potential clients lined up! That's wonderful! I've got my fingers crossed for you! Please keep us updated!

Sending all my love to you folks in the UK. Senseless.

Toot-How was your trip to see your mother? Hope all is OK.

A big hello to everyone else! Wishing y'all a great day!

Thankyou all. Simpl- do you think you could recommend me for a Sainthood? I could really use the money from royalties. Sometimes I am so humble I annoy myself with my so crap humour. I have learnt a lot, though about wearing emotional big boy pants in the last 18 months. I rate my maturity rate now as just past potty training. I ALWAYS flush, and put the bog seat down if there are non boy people around.

I'm so glad I checked-in here tonight... thanks PJ for your fab sense of humor and your Art.

Toot, what a great clip, this is what I do with my lambs. My neighbor has pet geese but I can't get near them unfortunately. Thank you for posting it.

Sim, thank you so much, I can't wait to properly start my little venture and say good bye to my mad boss. I'm so pleased for you and it sounds like you've made the right choice.

Wishing you all a good and sober weekend. All the pregnant ewes will come in and they get split up in different fields so they have plenty of space when the little once arrive. I can't wait....

Happy Friday everyone!
I am beyond excited.... we found our Alex..... she is one of 11 pups born 3/11. Not quite ready yet, but tomorrow we go to meet the parents and the litter. A beautiful yellow lab AKC pup with some pretty impressive looking parents.
Busy arse week at the bank. Rainy cold weekend here, but at least I get to play with some puppers tomorrow!
Hope you are all doing well-- I will check in tomorrow.
All my love-
Camery

Just me practicing posting photos. This is my dog Dyfi, named after the Welsh river Dyfi, pronounced Dovey. So, now that I finally managed to post one I should be able to do another one LOL.

Camery, how lovely that you've found a pup, a new member to the family!
13 pups is a lot. I bet the owner will be glad to see them go. We had 7 pups in 2014, geepers I was busy.

Morning Folks! Sorry I've been AWOL. Been dealing with neck pain which has been radiating into my shoulder. This has been going on for almost a week now so I guess it's time to cave and schedule with the chiropractor. It's either that or gnaw off my own arm, as the weight of it pulling on my shoulder is damn near debilitating.
I begin training my replacement at work today! The docs have been in a tizzy since I put in my notice which is flattering and somewhat annoying, as they barely utter a "thank you" after working with them side by side, day in and day out. Oh well, such is the life of a healthcare worker.....after 20 years one would think I would be used to it.
Only 7 more work days at this job.....not that I'm counting

Elke- Dyfi is a beauty! I'm impressed (and slightly jealous) that you've nailed posting pics! I tried (and failed) again Any tips? So pleased that things are going well with your site and your crazy boss will be in your rearview mirror as well! What is it with the crazy people in management......is it a secret pre-requisite for the position?

Camery- Congrats on the new addition to the fam! Life would be dull and far more lonely without the love of our furry friends!

Toot-Love the video! Thanks for posting it! How you doing, friend?

PJ-I'm afraid I know nothing of sainthood.....just recognize goodness when I see it. How are things progressing on the housing front?

Been thinking about how far we've all come in a (almost) year. My, my how things have changed! I came to this site to get sober but have found so much more! It feels like I have a new lease on life! You guys have become family to me Wishing y'all a great day and sending much love and positive vibes your way!
