So much happens very quickly when I allow a concept turn into a reality- who I am. Not the alcohol ridden pathetic burnt broken human refuse I was. That was not me. I really am not sure what the real me will be- but I know who I am now- and I am not, was never that person. Not drinking has given me that 'go figure' piece of wisdom.
SR helps this. As an 'old timer' at an AA meeting once said ....
(This guy was one of those living legends. Chain smoker, spoke only every 200 years and had been sober when Moses was born. His face was a road map of his life- scars, burns, sunburn cancer, broken reset bones.. When he spoke it was truth. He was respect, the ideal- the been every where and done everything guy.)
...to him AA meetings were his recharge for his moral battery. SR is like that. Stopped drinking- yep. Want to be a great guy- yep. Today- now, I will plug on, do my daily AA readings, do my domestics, study, eat, sleep- live. I will share, read and learn by everything I do. I will and do learn- if something makes myself (by me) feel angry- why? If I am happy- why?
Keep on fellow travellers. SR is the petrol station- where we meet, refresh, refuel and travel forwards.
