Speaking of anxiety.....evidently I've had it my whole life! I was too little to remember, but I used to play with a jack-in-the-box. I must have been 2 or 3 years old and my sisters say that I would scream the entire time while turning the handle because I didn't want to be scared when it popped up....DID I MENTION I HAVE ISSUES?!?! Lol

Sam - I've lost about 4 pounds..depending on the day. From March to July I lost 18 pounds, even though I wasn't stringing together sober days for the whole period. I had gained it all back during my steady relapsing from July-December. I'm mostly noticing loss of bloat right now, which is awesome.

Forgot to check in before leaving work, but am home getting ready for DD's basketball game. Feeling at peace, which is such a gift. I'll post after the game, hopefully with good news about DD scoring!

Hi guys! I am in an awful mood today and that really makes me want to drink. My kids are being complete buttholes which makes me want to drink. My husband is on my last nerve, which makes me want to drink.
We are going out to dinner then I'm diving into a big, HUGE bowl of ice cream after I put these monsters to bed!

I'm so happy to see you resisting and finding alternatives, adding to your plans and just plain doing it. You are fantastic.
I'm sorry to say that I have not done the same. The time off isn't likely to happen in the short term but it's still in play. Pity party for one has been heavy as the anniversary approaches. Usually in better shape for it but drained this time around. Planning a call to a counselor tomorrow or Friday to at least get some perspective.

WELL- went to a friend's (couple) for lunch on their asking. They live scant minutes walk from the home I built and is no loger mine- where is the centre of my family who no longer welcome me. Did not got past- and apologised to my friends for stealing booze (drinking their expensive scotch while there at dinner parties on the sly) in the past. They said they knew and wanted me to get better. They saw me at my worst, so I take a little hope from that. Sad- but defiantly (nearly 12 months now) sober. Thanks to all.
