Hope that the contractors leave before dinner and that you can have a peaceful meal, GC.

Yes! The guys won't be able to come again until Tuesday so we'll be living with some disarray in the house for at least another week. Fortunately, it's mostly contained to the basement, but even that presents some challenges.

Today

Exercise for the day is going to be home based, most likely push ups.

I saw my pulmonologist this morning and the results of my CT scan were fine; the nodules that were spotted in previous ones were either non existent or unchanged so it's now a non issue. I'll get more clarity, hopefully, about my kidneys tomorrow AM.

My wife is going to a book club meeting tonight and I'm not sure what my daughter's plans are for dinner. At a minimum it's going to be my son and me.

Thanks about my CT scan; I'll report back about the one of my kidneys/ab area tomorrow with hopefully equally good results.

I never posted yesterday and the big news of the day was that I met with the kidney specialist and he was satisfied with what he saw and said I don't have to see him again. He did notice that my liver readings were slightly off , but since it's not his area of expertise he recommended I speak with my GP about it. I see her on Tuesday.

Exercise was non existent yesterday aside from some minor functional stuff. I won't be doing any today either in observance of the holiday also because I'll be fasting and want to conserve energy.

I am so happy and relieved to hear that the news from your kidney specialist was positive.

Hope the appointment on Tuesday goes well.

Have a very blessed Holiday, GC.

Thanks SL. Indeed yesterday's medical news was relieving and I'm confident that Tuesday's will go well also.

Thanks about the holiday; I'm getting through it with the concession of hydrating with water. I have about four more hours to go, so at this point it's more physiological than anything.

Back to a normal schedule and eating pattern so I was a the gym this morning. Three rounds of five different exercises with relative parity between strength and stamina.

House stuff awaits me this afternoon and I'll try to squeeze in a walk along with some football watching.

Dinner tonight is going to involve shrimp and TVP.

Monday morning fun with my trainer. After the usual warm ups I did three rounds of:

Standing Db presses
Db front shoulder raises
Db lateral shoulder raises
Db bent over rear shoulder raises
Standing Bb curls
Db bench rows
Bench dips
Pushups
Planks
Leg raises
Bicycles
Heavy rope fun

If it seems as if there were more exercises than normal it's because there were. If you have come to the conclusion that this must have taken longer than usual you'd be right; he had his client that normally comes after me cancel so he devoted some of that time to torturing me.

Dinner last night was seared shrimp served in a combo sauce of basil pesto, tomato vodka sauce, and tomato paste. Sides were TVP and a garden salad using what probably are the last of our tomatoes and cukes. Dinner tonight is going to be flounder with a salad and a grain. I'm not sure how I'm going to prepare the fish.

According to the activity watch dear son has we walked almost 20,000 steps. Not too shabby.

Dinner tonight is going to be an Italian sausage and ground beef tomato sauce served over roasted cauliflower rice with an accompaniment of a garden salad.

I was at the gym before 6 and after some warm ups did 5 rounds of variations involving:

Kneeling Db shoulder presses
Heavy ropes
Row machine sprints
Kb goblet squats
Burpees with a pushup

There was 1 more exercise in the circuit that sadly I can't recall at the moment.
