Class of January 2017 Support Thread
Hi everyone
Welcome to everyone new~
The Sleepytime tea helps me sleep too. I am not sure if I use the "extra" variety or not but I will now that I know there is one
Highwind I don't smoke but can imagine it would be hard to quit both, great job!
Day 8
I am glad this day is almost over. I got to work and had emails on 3 different issues. Two were from one company and I would respond and a couple of minutes later they would send me something else to look at. I didn't even respond to the last email as it was sent after 5 so I will be working on it again tomorrow. No real urge to drink today though and I am grateful for that.
Have a great day/evening everyone

Day 11. Felling generally quite good today about from ulcers on tongue and in mouth. I therefore reserve the right to continue to be grumpy for at least one more day.
WhiskeyBent - I like the sound of your sober high :-)

2nd week. Day 10
After another restless night woke up, proudly hangover free, to make coffee and read my classmates posts. The world is beginning to take shape again.
Have a wonderful day, class.
To the new people who have just joined, or those who are reading and thinking of joining .. do it ! This is a great group of people to work hard to get sober with.

Congrats on Day 10 Whitehorse. Right there with you.
Michael, glad you are feeling better. There have been many times I drank while sick, which makes me realize what the real sickness is!
Slept good here last night and waking up made me realize what a p*ss poor mood I was in last night. 3 of the 4 in HALT had arrived by the time I got home. I ate and phoned a friend, and the cravings diminished. Very strange and vivid dreams about exes and random situations. Suppose I should start writng some of this stuff down.
On another note, I am coming to the realization that I need to supplement SR with some "in person" meetings. Isolation is a big trigger for me, and I think being in a real world atmosphere is going to be what I need. And, based on my past experience of having a couple years sober, it was part of my tool kit.
More to follow on that front....good day to all and keep pushing forward....for today!!!!!!

Good morning everyone!
Day 2 for me. It's definitely not as bad as quitting the first time, but still not particularly fun. I've decided it's probably time to quit smoking as well. I guess I may as well just do it all at once!
Just having my morning coffee and arguing with my printer - it seems to think the bottom 1/2" of my sheet is not important enough to print. Very nice to wake up not hung over though! Just one day of feeling like that is hopefully enough to remind me to never do it again! Glad to be back and I plan on sticking around this time. The daily check ins and gratitude threads were key to the amount of time I had before.
Congrats to everyone, no matter how much time you have, and welcome back hopscotch (I think we were in a class together back in 2015? I remember your username) and StartingOverNW - good to have you both!
