I would gladly defer to Kiki or Casey or Keets or others who've gone missing. Please check in.

In the self-reflection, and realizing I will likely never find the "answers" I seek regarding my problem, I've gone back to resources of which I was aware but did not use. Or did not use enough. One that I hadn't looked at was posted by someone in 24 hours (maybe). Always a good reminder that science says drinking is generally not good for you: https://www.rethinkingdrinking.niaaa.nih.gov/

jUST FINISHED PART 1 OF COMPLETELY FACING MY PAST- WHICH WILL BE SHOWN TO gpa. I HAVE BEEN RUTHLESS HERE. horrid JOB. kEPT WANTING TO DIVERT- WASH CLOTHES, GO FOR A WALK. I PUSHED MYSELF- WHEN OVERWHELMED FINISHED ONE PAINTING (BIG CANVAS- JUST A 'COS this is how I fee'l (sorry caps-l again).
Also today done a tee shirt- black, simple. Painted 'nohj' on it wonky. Felt ok after that. The difference is looking at my past- instead of living in the moment and feeling paralysed by the crap there- I can observe it, feel acceptance and knowI am moving forward and it can not hurt me anymore. I cannot help my family with this part of their journey, although of crouse I cannot stop thinking about them (especially today/tomorrow) and pray for them Told son when posted my story (2)- I will not contact anymore except COAddress, when it happens. Again acceptance- but not paralysis. In accordance with this significant mindshift, my new avatar is last MP- my space (to be)- positive forward thinking, see.

Wow PJ. Powerful stuff. I admire your strength and determination in doing this - sounds scary but also freeing. Also your MP looks amazing.....I love the idea of creating a visual place where you can go to see your best you....a place to move forward. So often we are stuck in the past and we can not see the hope in tomorrow. You may have inspired me to try my hand at art therapy again. I went to a few classes a couple years ago and found it very helpful.... Sending love and thoughts your way today!!

Morning class. Well Christmas Eve is here. Tonight is the dreaded dinner with DH's brother and SIL. I say dreaded but it's actually a lot of fun....games, food, gifts....the dreaded part of course is the drinks. I have been working on a plan but nothing solid. It's much different going to a large party and not drinking because no one is paying attention. This will just be the four of us. I do have to work early Christmas morning so that seems to be the best reason to give. My 2017 resolution is to start telling people that I don't drink anymore right off the bat. Leaves no room for excuses or miscommunication.

P.S. It snowed overnight and looks like a Winter Wonderland here.

P.S.S. Tea today is Santa's Secret - seems appropriate.

Love you guys!!

Hello all. 0200 X here. Tried the meditation man crap bit- quiet room, deep breathing, waterfalls,, 2 hours later- still fully awake- turned Mr QWERTY back on.
Sam- it is a good idea to have a plan B for X gatherings. Good for you.
Hi 13th- how are you?
Hello B. HELLO EVERYONE ELSE!

Bleah. I wanted to stay in today, but I caught some big stork on my koi pond and I'm out of netting. I had left the netting off after this big tree fell on it last summer. Now I have to buy more and it's raining all day. Well, there's worse things that could be going on! Be back laters.

Hi March friends! Day 3 here and it is going to be a sober Xmas eve and Xmas day for me. Earlier in the week I had pretty much let my AV convince me that I was going to drink tonight, but not now. I told my husband to not let me go anywhere today alone so no temptation of sneaking away to the liquor store. Going to a 3pm church service and then coming home to yummy seafood appetizers. I am looking forward to waking up tomorrow morning guilt and hangover free and fully able to enjoy my 2 little ones excitement.

Wishing you all a peaceful, sober and very Merry Xmas. Love you all xxx
