Petals, good to see you!
It does seem to get busier here this time of year. Not surprising with all the temptations. And the stresses .... as much as I love the OFH, it can be stressful at times. There are a few very clueless people, as there are everywhere.
Toots, I haven't quite reached the spot where you are - I wouldn't trust myself with booze in my apartment yet, but other than that it's not a problem. I don't intend to try it out, either!
SG, love your post and completely agree with the importance of all of the Overs in my life

Hi Overs - oops, missed a few days and there were a lot of posts to read through! Well, finally finished work today ready for a break over Christmas and New Year - yay! Hope not to put on too many pounds from all the lovely goodies to eat though

Just two more days till Christmas. Can't believe what a non-issue drinking is this year, compared to the past five. Maybe cause I'm such a hermit this year. As much as I've been feeling kind of lonely lately, I realize that I am totally living my dream by just making good money at a secure job and having my own place, this seemed so unattainable for so many years. And I'm a tad antisocial lately, yes, but I think I need this, to learn to just be, alone, not constantly trying to distract myself with projects, friends, guys. Basically I need to learn to RELAX.
Anyway, off until the 30th now!!!! Yayyyy. I wanted to share a pic of my little oasis with you, complete with festive lights.

Had a hectic day visiting family and friends, enjoyable though it was I was pleased to get home. There was a day when home was just to sleep, couldn't bear being in, but now a complete turn around. I feel settled , at home.

It's Christmas Day tomorrow, a short sleep away, and we fly down to my family at the other end of this little country. There will be oodles of booze flowing, I really do need to avoid it, the pull is very strong, but it can't be helped! I will keep reminding myself why I stopped, and stay stopped.....no doubt I'll check in here for support.

IP some people find it hard to be alone, I enjoy my peace so much that I struggle when I don't have my solitude. I do love your apartment, it looks cozy!
