Me too! I'm in for part 2! Had a fine weekend of no alcohol. Worked out at the gym this morning and am feeling pretty good. Alcohol destroys my workout routine.

Hi everyone,
Just checking in..day 3 and feeling pretty good. Not too many cravings today. My husband just got some bad news about a job he has...a second job which has helped tremendously. The woman he works for is selling her business and he will be out of this job. Very disappointing and I'm upset for him but I'm not going to drink over it...I need to be present to figure out our next step...

BBB glad things went well for you at work.

Stay sober and strong tonight everyone xo

I suspect everyone will be along soon enough.

Had my own trigger just hit me a little harder than I expected!

I spend a lot of time piddling around in my garage and used to drink plenty of beer doing it.

Have spent my share of garage time since getting sober with little issue but I just got home with a load of lumber to build a project. My dear wife is going to town (quite a distance for us) with our daughter.

Me being left alone, in the garage was trigger #2! Uh-Oh, they are adding up! I always drank EXTRA BEER when left alone in my garage.

I took my own advice and got that cold root beer out of the fridge and the urge has mostly passed!

Not earth shattering by any means but it shows how easily we can let that voice lure us into drinking. 24 more right NOW thank you!

Just checking in to say hi from the January 2016 class. You should all feel really good about celebrating the holiday season sober, and entering 2017 the same way!

Morning all, day 16 here.

Someone in the office has baked brownies so there's breakfast sorted!

Still feel very determined in staying out of the trap I was in, for good. That's all it is, a trap. Everything i told myself I liked about alcohol was BS. It certainly doesn't help you relax and it also definitely doesn't aid in your sleep. In fact, it's the cause of the majority of my anxiety/ lack of confidence. It certainly doesn't help me sleep either. Rather just knocks me out, making me feel even more exhausted than I was before.

Great job on getting through that Quitter I actually found a place here in the UK that does Root Beer! It's sat there in the fridge for when the curiosity hits.

Day 7 today.

Yesterday I submitted my first sober Uni assignment. What a milestone! Dh asked me what he could get me to help and I said contact lenses. Seems a silly thing to ask for but I want them now that I won't be passing out with them in and trying to take them out when I can't even stand and finding them stuck to the bathroom tap the next morning.
I think it means I want to start taking care of myself again.

Hello everyone. Checking into the Part 2 thread.

I have a lot going on my head in this third week of abstinence but might well post a separate thread about that - mainly just to order my thoughts a bit.

For now, here I am, sober and glad of it. All the best to you guys!

Quitter,....glad you redirected your cravings...that's awesome!

Way to go fly!

Hi to everyone else. I'm starting d 4 with a busy day at work ahead. Didn't sleep great but I have a lot on my mind with my husband losing that job. I don't want it to ruin the holidays though....

Hugs to everyone for a terrific Tuesday xo
