Sorry about the hot weather, Snooz and V....but boy it was awesome in qld, nice and cool. Rainy. Sorry, not sorry, haha.
Well, a "sobering" story to share. Was enjoying xmas eve with my daughter last night, having a lovely time, just hanging out. Out of the blue she says, "Mum, sometimes, when I see you happy, I still automatically think you must be sneaking drinks"...then playfully she says, "are you sure you aren't sneaking drinks?"..half teasing, but half deep down the echoes of double checking, I guess. I assured her I'd not had even one drink for nearly 2 years. A look in her eye, not necessarily distrust, was there, as if she couldn't believe it.
I hope one day she can fully believe this is who I am now, and that the worry it's not real leaves her at some point. I'd never considered it was even still on her mind.

I'm sure she will Crois.
And just for the record, last time the temps were this low at Christmas in Qld was 1970 so I reckon it's about time.
You southern guys will be back to low twenties before you know it

Hello all!
Christmas morning here. I hope those of you ahead had a great day! I can't believe those temps! Snoozy, you are funny! Glad you had a good day at work. Love the cartoon Suze!
I had a nice FT chat with my sister. She's been very concerned over this heart business.
Cold is worse, and sore throat now, but I'm ok and have lots of fresh food (haha Croissant!) at home.
I'm so glad that you were able to have a good time with your daughter, Croissant, it must be a little disarming, her suspicion I mean, but how great to be able to be completely sober and reassure her of this. It will only get better for your relationship with her, I imagine.
Love to all our Julyers!

Merry Christmas to those on this side of the world!
Home from church and awaiting the arrival of family.
Ham is in the oven and the house smells awesome.
It's 41 deg. F here, that's a little warm for this time of year. But, the sun is out and it's a glorious day.
Thanks so much for my friends here and another sober holiday.
God Bless.

You wouldn't think that the Duke would have many sayings that would be so inspiring. But, we all did learn something from "yesterday" didn't we?
And now our tomorrows are brighter and cleaner.
