Class of October 2014 Part 34
Hello gang!
Wow, lots to catch up on!
I was quite busy preparing for our Thanksgiving at home, then travel to Syracuse, NY, for the rest of the weekend. We had a dog sitter stay at out home, so that needed to be very tidy for her, lol. It was all a very nice time. We are tired after the long weekend, though. Late nights, strange beds.
So glad to have you back posting, Conquest!
Mark, glad you had such great travels abroad and here. And, I know what you mean about routine, too. It is fun to go away, but the routines are good too. My son and I are home bodies and love coming back to our own beds, and day to day lives.
Suze, WOW! I wondered if I sensed some sparks between you and Nick/Goat, when reading your posts. So happy for you. I hope it goes as smoothly as it can for you to get a visa and come here. I am glad you are so happy, but hope your health improves.
Doing okay here. A bit low on energy. I think that SAD season is kicking in. I am feeling vulnerable. I've not been exercising regularly, and had a recent back episode that took a bit to rebound. But that is good now, so I need to capitalize on it and get moving.
Christmas is around the corner. We do not have decorations up yet. I think we will plan to do that this coming weekend. I don't like to get the tree too early, because we tend to leave it up until Epiphany.
Hello to everyone: Briar, Dee, Leigh, Arbor, BD. Hope I have not missed anyone.

Hi phoebe, I hope things worked out well with the dog sitter. Also good to know your back is better. It's unfortunate that SAD is to be dealt with, especially if it causes you to feel vulnerable, but you're in the right place for support around here.
Thanks for the welcome home Dee and here I'll be for a while. My wanderlust is temporarily satisfied (and travel budget depleted).

A bright sunny Thursday it is and mid fifties. Such nice relief from the oppressive summer. Rain for the weekend though.
Leigh I hope your plans for the turn of the year are progressing as expected and stress free.
Just enough time to step out back in the sunshine before calling this lunch time done.

A good night to you Leigh.
Oh what a long day it's been, but all snug at home alone now with the girls out honing their shopping skills. And here I thought they pretty much had it perfected.
Suze, as I recall you're likely enjoying the west coast by now. Enjoying some nice adventures I hope. My how a ride along Big Sur would hit the spot, or the serenity of Muir Woods.
One month ago tonight I was waiting to board my long haul flight. Such great memories of chatting it up with people from all over, and scenery that's almost of another world. And not one stain of alcohol on any of it!
This rainy weekend I plan to organize my many photos and want to add notes/comments while the details are still fresh in my mind. If any of you have a suggestion for a user-friendly web site for that type thing please share.
Early gym time tomorrow and then perhaps stop by the market and grab the ingredients for potato and leek soup.
Wishing each of you the best weekend.

Not sure what site to use Mark....Flickr could be the one.
Have a look and see what you think.
I am not doing Big Sur etc, but I am going to Carmel and Monterey tomorrow, and Alcatraz on Sunday. And then the bridge and the wharf probably....feeling lucky that I can do anything considering how sick I've been.
And leaving Nick, sheesh, that's about the hardest thing I've ever done.
Thank God it's temporary.
Love to you phoebe honey, hope you're feeling a little better.
And love to you my darling Leigh.

Carmel is simply gorgeous. The homes along the water remind me of storybook/fairy tale homes.
