Lesson went well ~ to answer your question Phoenix ~ I guess I'd been air drumming to music my whole life without realizing it, and people have always encouraged me to take lessons. What sealed the deal was when I was introduced to Shannon Larkin from Godsmack....he is literally the human version of Animal from the Muppets ~ SO fun to watch! At first glance I said "Who is THAT and where has he been all my life???" ~ That was about 10 years ago....took forever to put the drink down long enough to do something about it...
And speaking of which ~ The guys at the music store just told me tonight that they're putting together a "recital" for students if we're interested in playing. I would have to, like, learn a song and play it ~ in front of people at the store! And it's only a month away....Are they crazy??????

In Los Angeles airport...waiting for a flight out. Every 15 steps...airport bar. But I'm hungry, so I'm sitting at a table right next the bar waiting for my quesadilla.
I really hate business travel...but otherwise, I'm good.
At times like this I think....this is going to be bad. Then...no wait....this will be my brightest hour. My coworker is having a Bloody Mary. I smell the tobassco...lol! Now that's temptation.

It's about 1245 here. Went to sleep around 10 and just experienced some of craziest/scariest dreams I ever had. Now feeling like will be sick. I don't feel like I'm coming down with anything so I wonder if I am having some delayed withdrawal symptoms. As I think about it, I'd been pretty cranky and angry all day. Oh well.
LG, I hear you on the business travel. I used to get pretty banged up when I travelled - expense the whole thing - thought that's what I was "supposed" to do. I don't travel as much as I used to, but still a little bit. It's not much fun.
Gonna read for a bit, then hopefully back to sleep.

I've been awake since 4:30 bc of baby waking and then knowing my sister is on her way in for a c-section and my new niece will be arriving!
Messed up that new life gives AV life. I'm exhausted and will have to play the tape through!

So funny, Kiki!
As I was getting ready for work this morning, I was reflecting on how grateful that I am that my life is so good right now. Fact is, there is nothing spectacular going on. No windfalls of money, still battling problems from when we closed our business, no new babies, younger son battling his own demons. Life is just life. Problems, joys, NORMAL. I am so grateful my life is normal. Thanks, guys, for helping be somewhat normal again. (I'm sure many will say something about me and normal not going together - but you know what I mean)
