Welcome Beelover and welcome back Winslow! teaorcoffee, great to see a lot of chirpiness (meant in a good way) in your posts.
Thanks, CaptainHaddock!

And the captain is back as well!

Captain - I guess the vitamin D is kicking in, because the chirpiness is definitely not caused by the weather here. Hoping to go climbing this evening - that should be fun.

Hey folks! 40 days sober today. Feeling good this morning and thankful for the good days. I spent a good deal of time on the couch yesterday. Another day of upset stomach & tiredness, with slight fever and even some chills. These days are getting further and further apart, though. Only 1 so far this week. Is anyone else struggling with this?

Whatever it is, it makes me feel thankful for the good days (like today, so far).

This is my first "Class of" post. I hope I'm doing it right! haha

Congrats on 40 days Suzyq - I haven't had stomach aches, occasional days of feeling off and some headaches, but generally ok. A lot better than most days when I was drinking.

Thanks Winslow and teaorcoffee! I have a doctor appointment in about a month so I guess I'll ask him about it if the problem hasn't gone away.

Thanks for the response I Hope you have a great day!

Hey all, welcome Suzyq.

Day 43 here and feeling really well, cycling lots eating too much and sleeping ok. Energy levels are unbelievable compared to my heavy binge drinking smoking days. ☺

Thanks Jimuk! I'm getting ready to try and stop smoking again, as well. Do you have any tips for the soon-to-be ex-smoker?

Hey guys, no drinking today, but Fridays have always been major drinking days and I am worried in advance. I'm going to use all my resources, and you guys are one of them, SO....see you tomorrow!

Never had anything like that at 40 days Suzy - you might have a bug?

Well out of jail...not fun sharing a 20'x20' room with 12 bunks with 15 other guys for three days with no tv as well. But I made it...

Sounds terrible Hewson I was in jail once for a day and a half cuz I was being a drunk fool,it's so weird cuz no matter how much money you make or whatever position you have in real life,in jail you're just a number

The following song and lyrics from Springsteen's were stuck in my head while sitting in jail counting down the minutes.

Now a life of leisure and pirate's treasure
Don't make much for tragedy
But it's a sad man my friend who's livin' in his own skin
And can't stand the company
Every fool's got a reason for feelin' sorry for himself
And turning his heart to stone
Tonight this fool's halfway to heaven and just a mile outta hell
And I feel like I'm comin' home

Glad you're back safe and sound Hewson, you're at least half way through now.

Fortress - what's your plan for today - can you do something this evening that doesn't involve drink? I'm meeting people tonight, but taking my bike with me -so able to make a quick escape.

The weather is supposed to get better over the weekend - let's hope.

Hey Suzy, I don't really have any. I smoked when I drank so if I don't drink I don't think about it. I've been doing lots of cycling and the benefits I feel already are a good incentive not to smoke. A lot of people start vaping but I think cold turkey is better if you can do it.
