I think it's okay to give yourself permission to consider today day 1
Just want to pop in and welcome all of you to the November class. I have 10 months sober today (November 1st.) and the members of the January 2016 class along with Dee and many others on this site have been my greatest support.
I had been on and off SR and a member of a few previous classes in the past, but this time I knew I was done with alcohol, and I followed Dee's very wise advice about having a plan.
Looking forward to seeing all of you on SR. Read and post a lot, it really does help. You can do this!!

Good morning everyone! I joined SR at the end of May this year and with the help and support of the lovely and amazing people on this forum I managed to turn my life around. I hope you'll like it just as much as I do.
Very best of luck!

Hello everyone. This has been one crazy year of ups and downs in my battle for sobriety. I joined here in january and and have had a few sober weeks so far, which is definitely improvement, but nowhere near where I need to be.
I need to learn to stick to my plan. Its tricky sometimes, maybe I need a seperate plan for that. Its bad that even my plan needs a plan.
Anyway, could use some support, and I will offer up my own when possible.

I don't think we ever throw away sober time determined - all you learned accomplished and gained is still there - you just let yourself be talked into a bad idea, but this can really be the last time ever that you have to feel this way
Glad you're back and joined us here

There is no throwing away what we learn from. Every experience offers us reason to learn and grow. SR is a very good way to do that safely without judgement and with support. I think everybody who shares here do show that growth. Well done to everybody.
Determined- you didn't throw away anything! When one leaves a job, they don't lose the experience they have earned.
You had a fantastic couple of years and will have a many, many, more sober years. Your learnings, experiences, and leadership will be invaluable to you- and the new folks on your journey.
All- congratulations on your decision to live your ideal life!

Hello everyone!
I joined about a month ago but have never posted. Have also continued to attempt to moderate my drinking since joining but, as you all well know, it hasn't worked. So here I am, on day 2 and excited to join the November class. Yesterday was probably the first Halloween I have spend sober in a very long time. Working on a recovery plan, hopefully posting here often and just started reading Don't let the bastards grind you down. I have already gotten so much useful information from this site, looking forward to continuing!
