I'm not going to drink today either. Wishing everyone the best!
Casey, you could say I'm off my rocker for lots of reasons, not these. The avatar was a brilliant idea, if I do say so myself. If you don't think that 2 week old smells like heaven, something is wrong with your smeller.

Also, you are supposed to say NO! when someone asks you to help them move.

Purple no words, just hugs. Hope your day is better than you anticipate.

Next time I'll remember to just not move that first piece of furniture no matter what and then I'll never have to worry about the second or third or tenth piece.

I'll give the ol' newborn smell test another try this evening.

Tinypic is down or I'd post a baby picture.

Hope everyone is doing ok!

Just read this. Wanted to share.

"Waking up with enthusiasm for the day ahead
A deep inner feeling that everything is OK.
The ability to do so many things
Friends and loved ones I have today
The inner peace
Just so cool to realize what a wonderful place the world is, and that I have a place in it."

Hi everyone! Lol Apple ~ "Pivot!"

Sam I hope your back is feeling better!

Bobbie your comment earlier reminded me of something my sister told me a long time ago....I used to think I wanted a truck for a vehicle, then my sister said "If you have a truck, then every time someone you know is moving, they'll ask you to help" Lol

Gonna relax for the rest of the evening.....(at least try to, anyway) ~ Thanks everyone for being here! Looking forward to another sober weekend

I miss watching Friends. Good old Thursday night TV.

Hubby is home from trip. Dunno where he thinks he is gonna sleep since the littles took over past few nights. Haha.

Happy to be closing out 5 days in a row.

I miss Friends, too, AK. And Seinfeld and Everybody Loves Raymond lol

It's been a nice, quiet Friday night at home. Looking forward to bedtime.

I'm not saying I was wrong, but the baby maybe had a little bit of a new car smell tonight. Maybe.

Ok, ok, I get it this time--it was a pretty darn intoxicating smell.

Trying to just spend some quiet time at home - feeling a little bombarded by technology and work lately. I'm changing, and so are my priorities. Looking forward to some good times with friends and family this weekend. No new car smelling babies, though - at least none that I know of!

I miss watching Friends when it was new - gosh, that was quite some time ago!!

Be cool - don't drink

Yes MITA it's series finale was May 2004, I recall actually having to miss that episode bc of a college graduation-related event. I think we had just gotten TIVO or something like that. Phew!

Enjoy your friends and family time!!

Casey that's more like it. I can't wait until my new niece arrives this month!!

Me again. This is something that has been on my mind this morning....

Yesterday afternoon I drove to the liquor store. I sat in the parking lot for quite a long time watching the people go in and then come out with their paper bags full of their purchases. The thing that struck me the most was how happy they looked...probably buying wine for a special dinner or beer to watch the hockey game with their neighbours. And it struck me for really the first time ever ( I know - DUH!!) - I don't have a normal relationship with alcohol. I am not prepared to label myself an alcoholic but this is what I know.....

I am not happy when I enter the liquor store - I am already defeated. I am not excited when I buy a bottle of vodka - I am hating myself. And I am not going home to a special dinner or to watch a hockey game with the neighbours - I am going home to isolate myself, to drink quickly and to pass out.

I didn't end up going in to the liquor store. I drove home and just kept telling myself that I deserve better, which I most certainly do.....we all do

Happy Saturday Class ❤️❤️

Sam, whatever label you put on it- an allergy, intolerance, a disease, an addiction, alcoholism this is what I know. When I drink, my behaviour changes. I drink to escape, forget- not to be happy. Isolation- yes 'cos that way I get over the pretence of actually drinking alcohol to socialise. Bugger that- I go straight to the booze. I would go to different bottle shops- because I was clever and no one would know I drank too much. Strange I was always second in the place. Chewing gum to hide the stink blah, blah. My behaviour was not normal. It got to critical for me. I am an alcoholic. For me to accept that meant I could actually do something about it. For me- to drink is to die. I lost everything. It is just a word- but the actions that go with it for recovery are important to me.

Morning Marchers. Another day filled with baby sniffing and family.

I'm not going to drink today. It wouldn't be a good decision.
