Class of March 2016 part 34
Has this term come up in our class before? I have not heard it quite a few years. I have a lot of friends who are big into CrossFit. There was a documentary on one of the past CrossFit Games winners, Mikko Salo, called Sisu. If you go to YouTube and search for Mikko Salo Sisu you should find a documentary that's about an hour long - I think there is also a trailer, maybe a few minutes long. I really like Mikko after watching this - but I guess that was the point of the documentary
Morning all!
Day 12 and I am so tired. We had a really busy day yesterday and went to a fun Halloween parade last night. But, then my 22mo was up at 2am ... woke everyone up.... didn't get back to sleep until 4am and now she has been up since 6:30!! She has been sleeping through the night for awhile so this isn't like her. Anyway, I am tired and will need to watch out for my AV today. You know, the whole song and dance that a drink or 2 will give me energy.
Hope everyone is doing well xxx

Hi guys!! Gosh I've got so much to catch up on. I've definitely been slacking lately, I've been so stressed and busy I've found myself neglecting every part of my health and recovery, but I can really see the cracks starting to form now so time to correct that.
Thankfully I'm still sober, just over six months now i realised today. I don't know if I've had that before??? I honestly can't remember that ever, so I don't think so.
To say I have a lot going on would be an understatement, major changes in my life plus some scary and stressful events have left me on shaky ground. I've been dealing with it all by just getting through each day - there's a light at the end of the tunnel and everything should calm down next month - but I'm becoming concerned that if something else were to 'go wrong' I wouldn't have the tools or back up plan right now to deal with it sober.
Going to catch up a bit on what I've missed, SO relieved to see this group still posting.

Ladybug ~ teething? I can't remember is they still have molars coming in at 22 months (I'm severely out of practice). My youngest was very restless when her molars were coming. A dentist told me once that teething feels like ants crawling over your gums. Icky. If not teething, kids and sleep....why can't they both exist at the same time??!! Hope you get some rest.
Safe travels Bobbie and MITA.
Purp ~ I'm having trouble picturing you cranky, but you're entitled. Crank away. Hangovers make me cranky.
Apple ~ know what you mean. After a big event, I would get home and my first thought...."I need to relax with a glass of wine." I just need to remember that by the end of the evening, no one would be relaxed, especially me....headache is inevitable around 2 am for me, then awake for 3-4 hours and then completely exhausted for work where I go looking like hell. Lately, tea relaxes me....well, the actual sitting on my patio looking out at the garden is relaxing. The tea is just a nice benefit perhaps.
Upstairs ~ I am a little late but welcome to the thread. If you love dogs, we already have two things in common.
Immri! Hang in there. It's good to see you're still sober, even in such trying times. Thank you for sharing that ~ I'm going through a hard time myself, and it's good to see it's possible to stay sober.
Kiki ~ love what you wrote about yourself. You're a very special person. I will do that homework right now. Thank you!

Busy day non me people. Setting up future housing, finances, divorce mediation, moving, burns review- first session. Then counselling session- the 'me' stuff. Apparently doing ok. Then set up GP review , Psych't confirm. Then lunch. Then had my M/P's digitally put onto computer. Just need to work out how to put onto SR to share- as been working towards. PJ.
Good morning classmates. Beginning day 17 in good shape. I feel confident that I'll make it past the 3 week mark this time. In fact I think I've had my last day one!
I've been working on developing new routines. Getting away from the things I used to do when I relapsed. Hopefully that will help. Another tool in the ole tool belt!
I hope everybody had a nice sober weekend. For those that had problems get back up on that horse and go again!!!
