Y'all, I'm trying to find some kind of focus. I really have no desire to drink. I'm just so disappointed with myself for ever getting so out of control. I can usually moderate my drinking, but only by limiting what I have available. I went out, got completely smashed, blacked out. I'm pretty sure I had alcohol poisoning. I had a serious hangover for 4 days. Now it's just guilt. Anyway, I'm trying to focus on running. I've been a runner for a year and a half. I'm thinking if I focus on training it will help.

You're totally in Gingerspice! Welcome! This place is super helpful, you just have to show up, share and listen. Last time I relapsed, I hadn't been posting or sharing and I started to think that drinking wasn't a bad idea and here I am back at day 1.
I felt many cravings yesterday. Today I have zero cravings... I got a little depressed yesterday. Not really depressed I guess just no motivation. Felt sluggish and bored. Today I feel better... Theres good days and bad days. We just have to ride it out like normal people.

Thank you for the birthday wishes! She picked out a very annoying toy and is now ignoring it for the remote. I'm on the third season, coven. It's silly at parts, but I like ridiculous tv. Keeps my mind off of real problems.
I think I got bored after two seasons. But I did watch stranger things and I loved it.
Are you a stay at home mom? My son is 8 now. I had him when I was 20, pregnant at 19. I'm 28 now and divorced. No other kids

Hi everyone ! Am doing sober October with the hope I can make it permanent - daily drinker (apart from the odd day or 2) for years now. My main worries are missing drinking with friends/my partner and feeling boring/bored. Am determined right now but I know how I can go from determined to oh what the hell in a nano second! So I need to remain on top of this.

Hey there Jade, gingerspice, sunshine, catherine, newlight! Great to see you posting! I love coming to really active threads and seeing how we're all figuring out this sober journey.
Just checking in as I go to bed. Had a productive day of work today. Hoping tomorrow's even better cos I won't have so much brain fog. Thoughts are all over the place at the moment-find my mind wandering to thoughts that make me feel crap. A lot of worrying at how out of control I've got and the horrid person I am when I'm drunk. Oh if I could take it all back!! Gotta use them to make me stronger though. They must be useful for something right?!

Jade, I wish I had Netflix, i am dying to see stranger things. I'm not a stay at home, I did that for 3 years though with my first. I have a 7yo boy and a 1 yo girl. They are so awesome, the boy drives me nuts somethimes, but I'm finding that 7 is a really annoying age because he's starting to become his own person. Lol.
Back again
Was here back in 2014 after a drunk car wreck....did well for 6 months but slipped back to my normal habits. Dad passed away last December and it seems I've been drinking hard since then. Got another DUI last night. I need to stop...so today is day 1
