Hi Jannies,

I am feeling much better tonight. The new antibiotics, and nasal spray seem to be helping. I spent a few hours catching up on work stuff today and I am feeling ready to go back tomorrow.

Bandi, I completely understand how you feel. My husband still drinks every night as well. Most of the time it is about two beers, but there are times it is more. Since getting sober the smell of beer bugs me when I am trying to sleep. I also wish he would stop, but I don't see that happening.

I keep reminding myself that I got sober for me, and I am so much healthier both physically and mentally since I stopped drinking. Although, I made the mistake of buying cheesecake when I went to Costco yesterday, and I have eaten a slice each night. I guess I will need to up the exercise to balance out the cheesecake. Okay, back to the point. We did this for us, and our lives are definitely better since getting sober.

Thump, glad things are going well.;-)

Dee, thanks for checking in on me, definitely feeling much better!!

Heading off to bed to read for a while, and hopefully can fall asleep at a decent time.

Have a great night everyone!!

❤️ Delilah

Morning Delilah, glad you feel better! -

Cheesecake, yum - I've been eating more sweets & food in general. Fall harvest and all that, ha! It's time to nip it in the bud if i want to stay in a healthy weight range.

Wishing everyone strength, peace and sobriety.....xxxx

Hi Jannies,

Today was a busy, but very productive day. I was glad to be feeling almost 100% and fully focused at work.

Some exciting news, my husband may have a new job. It would be about $16,000 more than he is making now, plus more vacation and closer to home and the kids schools. We should know within a week or so. Any prayers or good thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Bandi, I have decided I am going to have to eat one small slice of the cheesecake each day until it is gone. Thank goodness my kids like it too. One of the dogs attempted to pull it off the counter tonight, perhaps he was trying to save me some calories. I suppose an extra 5000 steps or so is going into every slice I eat!
Good thing I eat healthy the rest of the day.

Hope everyone is doing well.

❤️ Delilah

I've been eating more in general, and now that my initial caloric drop-off in the first couple of months of sobriety has been ameliorated, I'm filling out. I've picked up about ten pounds in the last two months ... not much, but for me, pretty drastic.

I'm enjoying a nice pork stew as I post this.

Much love to y'all!

Delilah, sending good vibes for Mr. Delilah and the new job!

I too am tired of the yo-yo weight loss, lose 10, gain 8, lose 5, gain 7, blah, blah. Back to the elimination diet that is always successful for me; eliminating ice cream primarily, along with gluten and dairy.

My nervous but excited anticipation is on, first day at new job is tomorrow!

Odelle good luck tomorrow! Can't wait to hear about your first day.

Dee, love the new avatar!!

Thump, I am down 43 pounds, and would like to lose about 7 more, however, the way I have been eating this week is not helping!!

Bandi, how are things going with you?

Long night, shorthanded and a tad busy, but a good day nonetheless.

Good morning Jannies. Yesterday went well at the new job. I'm cross-training with the retiring staffer, and will have a full plate when she leaves.

Not only is it beginning to feel like fall, but the holidays are just around the corner, yikes!

Hanging in there Thump, thanks for asking - Wishing you a good day.

Good to hear about your 1st day Odelle. Good support & training is so important the first few days and weeks!

My 6-yr. old computer died a couple of weeks ago and after trying to fix it and baby it along with replacement parts (with no success), I finally took 3 deep breathes and got a new one. Definitely not in my 2016 budget! But it's pretty cool and very fast.

Wishing everyone strength, peace & sobriety.....xxxx

Lol Dee - Yes, they are!

Morning Jannies....

Hiya Thump -

Your first Friday at your new job Odelle!

Delilah, hope you are 100% better! Any news about Mr. D?

One more social/business event tonight and then I'm taking a break. Four in one week is way too much! I don't know why they bother me so much since I'm fine once there. Need to work on that aspect of my sober life or become a hermit. Hmmmm....

Take care everyone....xxxx

Good Morning Jannies,

Happy Friday!!

Good news on my husband's job front, he was offered the position and officially cleared the background check/drug test today. He will start on the 24th. He is very excited, and I am excited for him and us.

I also found out this week that I will be getting a raise. It will be effective in December and in March or April I will receive a retroactive check for July-November. This will help us get back on track with our finances.

Odelle, I am glad you like your new job. Sounds like you will be busy with the many responsibilities you are taking over. They are lucky to have you!

Thump, I had to look up that word as well! Hope you are not short handed this weekend.

Bandi, what kind of computer did you get? They tend to go out on us at the worst possible times. Were you able to get all of your data off your old computer?

Hope everyone is doing well? Anyone have exciting plans for the weekend?

Talk to all of you later.

❤️ Delilah
