Yes ~ and I kicked a lot of goals this week. I now have passport, visa waiver thingy, insurance (it won't help my finger that much, but still very important), a ton of things I needed that I didn't have (ever, this is the first time in my life I have been able to buy myself 'stuff'), AND I booked two absolutely incredible hotels in New York and San Francisco. I showed the photos etc to Gilmer ~ apparently I have very good taste.

Now, I'm thinking about all of the meetings I can go to in so many different places. I'm going to look up AA in NY and SF so I have some ideas in advance. ♥

They are top-of-the-line hotels in magnificent spots. Your accommodations will be fit for a queen! Bask! Bask!

You know what impresses me most?

The fact that you can now spell "passport" on SR!

What happened?

I am going to be in Ohio for a bit Kris...a week or more. I have a lot of very special people there...I'm guessing that's maybe not too far from you, unless I've worked it all out wrong...so maybe honey, if you want, I could visit you.

In SF stay out of the cheesecake factory on the top of macy's ... unless you like giving yourself à challenge
Quartier Castro for a look at the Shop Windows alone is worth it.... Fishermans wharf, alcatraz... golden gate. Its a wonderful city. Enjoy

If it were me, I'd skip Alcatraz. Not that it would renew old memories!

Actually, I do want to see Alcatraz. Because of the Birdman.
It's all about the movies for me....
And the Golden Gate....all my life I have wanted to see that beautiful piece of architecture in person.....and Sausalito, and oh, so many places....

Suze, you will love San Francisco and all it has to offer. I totally agree that it's worth seeing Alcatraz. I'm so glad to hear you excited about this trip of a lifetime.

I grew up just a little south of San Francisco and spent a lot of time there. It is by far my favorite city. The Golden Gate Bridge is awesome from Fort Point at the Presidio.

Be sure and walk across The Golden Gate Bridge ! Will you drive down the coast a bit? If you do, Carmel is gorgeous and the drive along the coast on highway 101 is breathtaking !

I'm going to get the international driver's permit Kim, and I would love to do that drive, and Carmel is a definite, but I don't know if I can manage that on my own. So, yes, if one of my SR buddies is with me....or I guess there is a bus that goes down that road?

And absolutely doing the bridge walk.
