Congrats to the many milestoners ! We have a football team here ! Stay close and stay resolved. Your achievements bring hope to us all. There seems to have been a few relapses occurring of late. Both here and in my home group. Last night, another member suddenly turned up as an inpatient (room is in a rehab centre). He has a sordid history and has wronged several of the members. Nevertheless, he was respectfully welcomed into the room. Support for the suffering alcoholic is not subject to judgement or qualification. For those who had a relapse, please do reach out for help. Compassion has no boundaries. Another 24 hours of loving kindness, patience and sobriety pls ! Its 8:10am here ! |

Hi, :tyou Kris for the big hug! Can never have too many, must be why since joining AA I get and give hugs on a daily basis. Even here on vacation, my first reaction is to hug the staff. I'll be checking in for the next 24, so grateful that I am in recovery today. This makes my life so much easier, even in my grief & morning. Whew! :grouphug: Bobbi |

Let's all be Greek at heart for Gyro day. A gyro is a dish of meat roasted on a vertical spit. It is usually served as a sandwich, also called a gyros, with tomato, onion, and tzatziki sauce, wrapped in pita bread. To make gyros, pieces of meat are placed on a tall vertical spit, which turns in front of a source of heat, usually an electric broiler. If the meat is not fatty enough, strips of fat are added so that the roasting meat remains always moist and crisp. The rate of roasting can be adjusted by varying the strength of the heat and the distance between the heat and the meat, allowing the cook to adjust to varying rates of consumption. The outside of the meat is sliced vertically in thin, crisp shavings when done. It is generally served in an oiled, lightly grilled piece of pita, rolled up with various salads and sauces. Had a day of much needed rain here in New England. Hope the impending weather doesn't threaten anyone's life or safety! |
OMG strat and Dame.....that looks incredible...yes please. I'll make coffee. Decaf if it's getting too late. :) ♥ |
Hmmm, Greek gyro first maybe, then cake and ice cream. (That's not fattening at all...;)). Hi Viking love. :) ♥ |

Ooooh! It's like PB and J sandwiches! Yum Dame! :scoregood It's a good thing I didn't have the gyro to inspire me today, or I might have posted a meat cake, like I did a long time ago. I posted the photo of the meat cake I posted. :) :lmao http://m5.paperblog.com/i/96/960222/...-L-1hOlmc.jpeg |
