Good morning all. It feels so good to be up early laughing with the kids before breakfast. My kids got this gamessage called mindflex at a thrift store yesterday I don't think I will tire of watching the, try to play it!
Off to make breakfast and enjoy some time with my daughter before she leaves in a few hours. She's going to a church leadership program until Sunday. Looking forward to 2 weeks sober by the time she gets home.

Hey everyone, I would love to join this group. My last day was July 25th, so today I'm on day 7. I was part of the February 2016 class and made it 90 days, then I went on a binge for about 2 months. Now I'm back on track and want to stop this roller coaster ride. It's time to do this once and for all. Hope everyone has a wonderful sober day
Breezed through day 5, usually my hardest day, I've slipped on day 5 many times.
Got a lot of work done, finished up 3 projects that have been hanging around for ages with the clients groaning.
Got a 5km walk in, which was good, burn off some of that weight I've been piling on in the last few weeks.
Overall, feeling very positive this time around, never been this easy before. You folks have been an inspiration. Thanks for the support.
Almost midnight here now, time to crawl in to bed with a book. Not been able to do that for a while!

Congrats to all who made it another day! I'm on day 2 now. Didn't sleep the greatest but better than when drinking. Took my kids and dog for a trail run earlier today and headed to the water park in a bit. Time to get some work in.
Mac, good job on fighting that craving when the cash came in. Good job all you guys. We can do this!

2 days for me no smoking cigs or drinking. I finally feel like myself again, physically and mentally. I slept a lot last night and I really needed it I think. I finally feel alert at work again.
I'm looking forward to taking my dogs on an evening walk tonight. I've either been drunk or hungover for the last month so I have not taken them anywhere (they get full reign of the backyard, but it's still unacceptable).
Hope everyone is having another good sober day!

Demons be gone
Day 2, was nice to wake up and remember what I did the night before and with no regrets of how I treated my children. I burned a bunch of sage and ordered the demons, specifically the Alcohol Demon, out of my house and life last night. My children thought I was crazy but I swear I felt freer than I have in a long time, and this time I meant it.
Went to Trader Joes and bought a bunch more, will most likely have to become a nightly tradition for a while.

I'm new to the class on day 3. I always seem to relapse between day 3 and day 5. I had seven years once, a long time ago, so I have hope that I can get there again. Been such a long time ago though. I feel pretty safe today.
Hello, SR Class of August, 2016!
I'm Venecia, a member of the SR Class of August, 2013, stopping by to offer encouragement as you embark upon this journey. It's not the easiest thing you'll ever do -- nothing worthwhile ever is.
But a life lived in sobriety and recovery is very much achievable and I want you to know that. Best of everything to you.

I love the idea of burning sage. I believe in stuff like that. I need to do the same.
Good job on 2 days
Day 3-5 our my relapse days too and once that happens it's hard to get back on the wagon again due to feeling defeated. Good luck on day 3
