Goodness, that was quick. Thanks Dee

Well done to all the milestoners ! Keep up the sterling efforts and build up that inner strength !

I reflected on my race last Sunday. It was hard as I had to push myself out of my comfort zone in following the balloon guy (the pace making runner). At the 60% mark, I began to flag and I was freaking out that I wouldnt finish the race even though the distance should have been easy. However, I was still close to the balloon guy so I gritted my teeth and keep up the pace. My lungs and heart were on fire and my brain was yelling at me to stop. My legs started to deaden as well. I lost focus on distance as my mind was consumed with pain and anxiety. Finally with less than 3k to go, I got my second wind. I passed the last hill, ran past balloon guy and sprinted to the finish line. What I learnt once more was:

i). you simply dont know what inner reserves of strength you have until you overcome your fear and try;
ii). never ever give up

I will remember this race for a while. It proved the wisdom of so many shared here.

Another 24 hours of patience, loving kindness and serenity ! Its 9:16am here !

Congrats Kaneda on going the "extra mile" to realize your win! Too often we give up just before we realize our win. The learning curve is something here we deal with so often in our striving for sobriety. Never give up!
