Class of March 2011 Part 25
Checking in
sorry I haven't been around , I am just so busy these days , even though the holidays are over this summer is not letting up , we have had an influx of grey nomads and the town is bustling , we have had no break in the heat either for weeks now temps have been around 30 - 35 degrees and not dropping below 22 at night , really uncomfortable and NO rain , we desperately need rain , there have been fires as well , deliberately lit , what the hell is going on in someone's head to do that in a drought. I am just so tired with this weather I wake up worn out , I need me some winter.

Still sweating it out here 38 degrees. c. here today and tomorrow then a cool change at last. I am nearly broken the heat is really testing me. I have always suffered through summer but this year. I hope things are good where you all are.

Yep- got no witty repartee AB. It is hot. It sucks. At least we do not add booze to the mix. Ah yes- A long cold beer on a hot day. Central Nervous system depressant, effects judgement- so when drunk- use matches and gas, it dehydrates and the real veteran's can 'handle' the heat, because they are pissed. Always good- injuries from a fall, a hangover and sunstroke.
I think I will have another cup of tea.

Yay to Aussie's brother!!!! That's fabulous!
We did our big Valentine's dinner Sunday night. We've been doing this now for over 10 years ... maybe closer to 15? Hard to say at this point. We have a very formal, candlelight dinner for our family ... we're talking prom/evening gowns for the women and suits and ties for the guys, flowers, gifts, love letters, the whole shebang. It went well! I love my family. And I love that they let me love them.

It was over 60 and sunny today! That's unheard of in February around here ... it's usually closer to 10 and cloudy/snowy. It was gorgeous! We took our granddaughter to a park for playing and a picnic. Mirage, I hope you were able to enjoy it, too!
Aussie, that's a really awesome tradition! I love it!

Hi Dee and all!
Yep, I'm enjoying this lovely warm weather. It's soooo nice, not even wearing a coat these last few days. We went up north and we were able to ice fish and ski even though the weather was warm. Perfect! Home now, the boys are off for a few days for mid-winter break.
Hope you all are well!
xoxo
