So I tried Christmas shopping again yesterday and all I ended up with was shopping rage
I am not used to these big crowds , I like to get into to town early to beat the traffic ( still a nervous driver) and also too many people in the shops but it is busy early now . I will be glad when Christmas is over. I don't have a lot to look forward to either as my work load shifts into over load. One thing though this year the owners of the holiday house next door are coming for a few weeks and they are lovely people and we wont have to put up with party animals and I might actually get some sleep.
That's todays whinge, aren't you glad I posted.
Oh wait I am not finished yet storms , bloody storms!

AB- I just posted where it was 0755 half and hour ago but 0755 now, here. Then I turn up here and it's back to 0751. What the hell is going on over there? (haha). I do not like silly season shoppers. I have to watch my right arm being bumped- the elbow has 3 things- a bone, a nerve (plus the blood bits) and skin- no fat or muscle. So if that nerve gets bumped , kind of hurts. Some people walk in the fast lane- see a bright and shiny, then stop or cut people off to reach that b&s. I do like going to the central market for the aromas. Coffee and all of the other stuff.

Yeah, without realizing I made the transition, I pretty much do all my shopping on line now. Amazon is my friend! I don't know how shopping malls are going to survive, but I hope they do. It would be sad to see them go, I'm always sad to see brick and mortar stores close, even though I don't help them any! Good news on the holiday house owners! Yay!
That elbow sounds dicey, PJ. I don't blame you for avoiding crowds! Art, gym and study...sounds like a good for the soul trifecta, good for you!
We're going out of town tonight, the whole fam. My oldest got invited to compete for a merit scholarship at a university he's interested in. They do an essay and small group activities. Hundreds will compete, 20 will get it. He won't get it. lol BUT...you get about $2,500 just for being invited and competing. Hell yes, we'll come! lol It's my alma mater, so always fun to go back. The football team is playing the division finals tonight, very exciting! Ironically, the team came here to play and we're heading there.
It would have been fun to go to the game. We'll watch it on tv somewhere. We're back on Saturday night and I'm going to a musical and dinner on Sunday with a bunch of girls. OH!! Speaking of a girls night....I'm tagging along with my SIL to New York City in January!! I'm so excited!! She mentioned at Thanksgiving that she was going with girlfriends for 3 nights and sort of casually invited me. I booked my flight! lol Don't have to ask me twice.

Phoenix , glad your doing well.
I think it's going to a hot one today , we had a fog roll in from the sea this morning, very rare for the coast , it's lovely and cool at the moment , more storms forecast , anxiety about it already , you would think I would get used to them , but no.
