Thanks CG! I need all the hugs I can get right now. I guess the best thing that came out of today is I haven't given in to my AV and just said !@#%$ it and went to the liquor store, but let me tell you its taken all I have not to go there. But I wont. My car is parked safely in my garage..............

Well done Camery...we really find out about ourselves when we face adversity and now you have another notch on your sobriety belt. Keep on being you and a better fit will come along....tough to go through but often the best lessons are. Keep your chin up, which it sounds like you are doing a great job of

Camery - that sucks. Particularly the way that they let you know. But ... one door closes and another one opens. You're doing all the right things to find your door. Great job on not drinking.
LW - good luck for rehab. I hope it's a positive chance for change.

Casey, Simplicity - you both sound like you''re coasting along happily. Nice.
Not a lot to report here. Both children are sick. I'm heading that way. I'll probably make it through the rest of the week and then succumb at the weekend. Urgh. I'm a glass half-empty person, obviously.

Good morning everyone!
Thanks for all of your kind words friends-- it brought tears to my eyes reading them. I really appreciate all of you!
I reached out to a few recruiters yesterday and have 2 phone screens today for potential opportunities, and I did apply for some other positions online yesterday....
At the folk festival, we made these necklaces out of dominoes. So, yesterday I went to Goodwill, found a few boxes of dominoes, went to the craft store to get the chains, paint, etc. and made some more. Who knew? So, if they turn out, perhaps I will sell them at a craft fair. Next is scrabble bracelets...... I am thinking of using words like " peace, love, joy, happiness, etc.
Stress reliever, keeps my mind occupied on thinking of my situation or drinking, and it is actually pretty cool. Oh, and not too mention the power tool I get to play with..... LOL

Good morning Mayflies!
Slept in this morning... cuz I can! LOL. Woke up at 4am after having the weirdest dream. A bunch of people and I ( cant remember who was all there) got pulled over for drunk driving and were being held captive in this lil hick town in the middle of nowhere. Somehow we ended up getting out and went home. Since the cops didn't have our ID's we were sure they'd never find us. I seriously woke up wondering what we were going to do next. And then, realized it was a dream, and fell back asleep. Wow.... random!
Anyways, not too much on the agenda today. Made a nice strong pot of coffee this morning and am enjoying a fresh brew before I switch it up to my water intake.

Hi all. Just got back from my Wed night AA meeting. It was really nice to be back there I miss it after a couple of days away. Told my mum I was going and she was fine so that's that out in the open. I'm glad. Girls going away again for a week tomorrow (childcare courtesy of grandparents) but I am determined to keep going with AA and stay sober the whole time. Got a good feeling I will too!

Just checking in this morning. Not too much of anything going on here. Sleepless night last night--- even after taking two sleeping pills I was up till 330am. Couldn't shut my brain off, got up to turn the air on in here, and now I am up for the day. Humid day here again.... 2 more days and our 70's return!!!!!

Yeah, weird !@@ dreams one night, no sleep the next night..... will tonite be the night for sleep??? I sure hope so.
Had a good phone interview this morning with an attorney looking for a Compliance Analyst--- we meet in person next week. Very easy to talk to, and the job sounds interesting. So, here we go!
