Well, 8+ hours of video games later, I think it's time for me to put on a dumb television show and go to bed. Day off was a successful one, albeit not a productive one.
I have seen that. I won't need it myself as I've got all the games I want in the original format but I think it's a cool idea and glad it might inspire others to play some of those great old games.
Tell that voice to stuff it, Purplrks, whether it's your AV or just the negative part of your mind. It's wonderful that you're working out. Keep on doing the next right thing!

Up early - they are coming to take pictures of the house today. I've been told we need to do some "staging". Whatever. I'm usually up early anyway.
Casey, BBG and Kayak. You guys sound good. Always nice to read some positive posts. Kayak, I like MO, too. (Even if Bobbieka lives there!).

Good morning Samantha I hope you got a good night's sleep last night! I did much better last night I only woke up 4 times.
Bobbie you need to sneak out in the middle of the night when it's cool and mow your yard and make your neighbors happy :-)
I don't know if you heard my mowing story. But I woke up one morning with a bad hangover to the sound of my neighbor mowing his yard and I thought he's going to have to mow around me cuz I'm not moving. :-(
The stupid and regretful things we do when we drink. I'm so happy to be sober.

Checking in this lovely summer morning.
Yesterday, between errands and doctor appts. for my aging parents, I bought some running shoes. My wife, the runner, was no help because she was off looking at running shorts. So this young marathoner employee got ahold of me, put me on a treadmill for a "gait analysis," and sold me a bill of goods. Lol. I must say these shoes are pretty darn comfortable and supposedly they are good for my "supination," whatever that is. I haven't run since I played soccer as a kid.
No fool like an old fool.
I want to get riding my bikes again, mostly. I was out for two fifteen milers a couple weeks ago. Slow as you might imagine. I used to ride 100 miles on a Saturday morning then go about my day. What glory that was!
MITA, my wife sold her parents' house this past week. "Staging" seemed to really help. Heck, by the time they were done I wanted to buy it.
Hang in there Missy, Purplrks, and all who are working through things. It has helped me to allow myself to be disappointed, while not allowing myself to become discouraged. It's he discouragement that gets you. I feel as though I might have turned some existential corner here. The future looks open again.
Stay strong Marchers. Things will keep getting better.

Slept poorly again last night - my FitBit said awake 4 times and restless 18....it felt like I was awake a lot more than that....but whatever I am up and the day is going to be beautiful!!
Purplrks - You're not a bummer!! My AV for sure reaks havock on my sef-esteem when tyring to convince me to drink - way to recognize it and sqash it!!

Sam, my wife is back from her morning run. She loves it so much I'm giving it a try. Keep at it; it seems to really help.
So far this morning I'm with BBG, maybe an extra cup of startin' fluid.
I forgot to mention another interesting thing. Sort of out of the blue I caught myself thinking "it's time to start writing again."

I passed another of my local liquor stores yesterday. Didn't even look at it.
