I'm off to bed too - Star Trek should be marketed as a sleep aid

My guess is he knows you are pretending. But that's ok - I can't speak for all guys, but we're generally fine with that

Going to bed early myself - my escape plan for the evening.

Looking forward to tomorrow.

I would say stress is a trigger since you listed it twice! Lol. :-)

Hi guys, I've got a bit to catch up on! This week was full on, I was working or running between appointments all day every day, which wouldn't be unusual except it was my first week back to 'normal life' after the month off, so it really wiped me out. Taking it easy this weekend.

Just realized today is the three year anniversary of my joining SR and the class of July 2013, and the 14th anniversary of attending my first AA meeting. (Well, my first as an alcoholic. Went to a few open ones as a kid to see my dad and granddad collect yearly chips.) I'm still a work in progress obviously, but finding these forums was definitely a huge step in the right direction. Thanks to all of you for keeping me sober one more day.

Still here though silent. Still struggling. Also have no functioning computer so not able to participate much. Still trying.

Excellent work everyone.

Checking in from the tropics, aka Cincinnati.

Welcome back PR! Stay close, post often.

Fred59, I am jealous. I love Tahoe--especially the Tahoe Rim Trail. Say hi to the Western Tanagers for me. Lovely, lovely birds.

13th do not give up. Can you set a small goal, maybe 3-5 days and see what happens?

Sam, my wife is the Trekkie around here, but I think the original episodes are a laugh riot. My wife gave up on her run yesterday morning--just too steamy. I was going to go with her and she said the day would not be a good choice for a first run.

Casey, keep on keepin' on. I do believe you've reset the clock for keeps. Stay cool. Enjoy sobriety.

Triggers. #1 Stress/anxiety, good, bad or otherwise. Alcohol was my answer to it all, "the big switch marked NO" I called it. Just flip the switch and you're good to go. #2 Depression/futility. Lived with that all my life. It's genetic so far as I can tell, runs on my father's side of the family.

Everyone else stay cool as well. Enjoy sobriety, but work hard for it. We can do it.

Good morning Pelagic and everyone else!

Great to see you PeacefulRain and thirteenth.

Not much report. I like being up early on the weekends - before the rest of the house gets going. Getting some startin' fluid - maybe make some pancakes
