It's been a long time since I've taken a long bike ride, Conquest, (any bike at all for that matter) but I remember it well.

It was along a very flat trail and I rode forever and forever without thinking a thing about the return trip (after all, it was flat!!!!). Big mistake - I could barely stand up at the end - jello legs that were quickly losing their gel!!!!!!

Feeling fine, Mark. Thanks.

Wonderful. I had a piece for lunch today too!

It's the Hershey's chocolate cake recipe. Think I've shared it before. It's THE best chocolate cake I've ever had. And I'm a vanilla guy.

Home for the evening now just in time for some great rumbling thunder. I had a bit of office work to do and knocked it out after the wedding (very traditional church wedding with reception following in the fellowship hall.....no alcohol and no dancing). So tomorrow is mine!!!

Glad to hear the wedding was quick for ya, Mark! I always dread those types of events too... But then enjoy it once I'm there. Case in point, I'm going to a "party" soon where a friend is selling jewelry. Part of me just wants to sloth around on the couch at home but I know it'll be fun. And I doubt there will be any alcohol served because she doesn't drink either. I just hope the snacks are good and I find something cute for myself. Treat time!

How are the trip plans coming along, Venus?

I hope you find a nice treat for yourself Conquest....and have a nice time.

I did enjoy seeing a few folks that I generally see only at weddings and funerals. Truth is I'm not selfish with material stuff at all, but I can be selfish with my time. One of my (many)character flaws.

I hope you're having a nice time phoebe and that the tooth has settled down.

How'd the weekend treat the rest of the gang?

Speaking of time to myself, my girls leave tomorrow for a last bit of travel before school resumes I think on August 5th.

Selfishness needs to go in order to stay sober. At least for me I need to work on that or I will soon enough start drinking again.

Weekend was alright. Exhausted and sore from chasing these kids around. I swear, I'm more tired after a weekend versus just going to work everyday.

Hope the rest of the crew is doing well. This means you sweet Suzanne.

Wow; school starts early where you are, Mark.

Did some pool walking this weekend; starting to get some of my strength back which is nice.
