Hello,
Busy day for me, it is amazing how quickly I jump right back into work mode. The girls and I are going to see a play tonight, although truthfully I would rather stay home and be in my jammies!
One more day left this week, and I am looking forward to flying to DC for a conference on Saturday. I will have Sunday for sight seeing, which I am really excited about.
I am also looking forward to a fall getaway with my husband. I had a credit I was going to lose on the airline, and Virgin America had a one day sale yesterday so we made reservations to go to Seattle. I have never been, and I am hoping for a taste of fall weather. It will be something to look forward to when the beginning of the school year gets crazy.
Anyone with suggestions for Seattle please send them my way!

I had my first post-breakup date tonight, just friends were the terms. She drinks. Towards the end I found myself biting my tongue, and bailing out so as to not make the conversation about my issues. Good gal, lovely perfume still draped over me, but ... but ....
No suggestions for Seattle, D -- wish I could help. I've always wanted to visit the city, since my freshman college days, but aside from a truck-trip as an ignorant lad, I've no experience there at all. All the same, I hope you enjoy yours.

Prayers for the Dallas, Texas officers and their families. Tragedy unfortunately is becoming everyday news and I hope and pray that our society hasn't become desensitized to the horror of innocent lives taken before their time.

I am sick to my stomach watching the news about he horrific shootings in Dallas. I will never understand such violence and hatred. Prayers for the city of Dallas, and our entire country after the events over the past few days.

I'm so happy to be posting that I hit my 6 month milestone, it's still fresh in my mind trying and failing miserably at stringing together one week. I know I still have a long way to go, but with the continued encouragement, support, and understanding of this class, it doesn't feel like an isolated, insurmountable journey any longer; thank you Jannies, and you too, Mr. Dee!

Good Morning Jannies,
I am sitting at the airport waiting for my flight, and the other three people from work I am traveling with. I'm looking forward to visiting DC, we will have tonight and tomorrow for sight seeing, then Monday and Tuesday for learning.
It is always hard saying goodbye to my kids, even though it is only a few days I miss them. They all wanted to be woken up to say goodbye, my little guy though followed me around early this morning and we took a few silly selfies. He stood on the front steps waving goodbye as my husband pulled out of the driveway. I am feeling very lucky to be a mom this morning, and very happy to be a sober mom.

Belated Congratulations to those who have reached 6 months. I'm so proud of all of you and I'm so sorry I've missed it. UIt has hit home where I'd be now if I hadnt relapsed.. Really puts things into perspective but there's no point putting myself through the wringer again either.
I'm finding it so hard now to get back on track. I can't believe I did over 5 months sober now I struggle on a daily basis. Seriously if ANYONE even entertains the idea that they may be able to be a social drinker one day..forget it! its just not worth the pain.. I don't believe it's possible. Once an alcoholic always an alcoholic as they say.
I love each and every one of you and I'm so eternally grateful that you've allowed me to stay in this class with you... Xx
