As an example, I was upset all day yesterday as my sister didnt invite my family to my mother's birthday lunch. It was a very deliberate snub. Initially I tried to shrug it off as we are cordial at the best of times. However, it did nag away at me the whole day. Despite being upset, I carefully chose not to reply. Only after discussing with a friend and going to my Dharma practice, did the negative feelings melt away. Afterwards, I discovered that my sister is struggling with her financial situation, is beset with anxiety and is harbouring resentments towards my family. So, I am glad that I had the ability to control my feelings and understand more what she is experiencing. Now, I have compassion towards her. If i was still an active drinking, I would have probably unleashed a lot of angry and bitter texts at her. Phew !

Can we also add another T for thirsty? I drink tons of water each day as staying hydrated helps with cravings.

My mum in law is getting surgery she was deemed fit. So my partner is flying to uk on Tuesday. That's the best of the bad news we've had in a while! Thank you verrry verrry much for the prayers!

I missed checking in yesterday. I went to bed early last night and slept late today. I haven't been sleeping much lately, so I needed the rest. I'm still tired. But I'm still sober, so for that I'm grateful!
