Congratulations Stargazer!! What a fantastic milestone.
1.5 years +24hours for leapyear, who would have thunk it. I am so happy for you SG.
I have started up on my Gratitude journal again. It really does help one realize the positives in ones life. After a while, gratitude is at the forefront of your brain, and you start looking for the positive in every situation. In my case, its so that I can have something to write at the end of the day! I'm sure that's why it works.

I'm driving down to Gibraltar, about an hour and a half away, today to pick my brother and family up from the airport so I'll have a bit of time to digest this!

Woohoo! Nice going Amp (and Inc!). Yep, savour the moment. Onwards and upwards. You'll be able to savour the moment even more when you cross back from Gibraltar into Spain if the queues are still as long

Huge congrats to you Amp and Inc for hitting the 18 month milestones today!! You should feel a lot of inner pride for for beating back a tenacious addiction and embarking on a more fulfilling way of life!

Can't believe it. Been working and dealing with things at home. I didn't even realize I hit a milestone.
Super thankful for the reminder, because I cannot forget. It's important to realize these wins so I'm feeding the good wolf. It's far too easy to accidently starve it.
On the home front... I have my bankruptcy hearing Monday. Getting super close to ending that chapter.
Can't believe it. Been working and dealing with things at home. I didn't even realize I hit a milestone.

Got my youngest son last night. Stayed up late and watched Batman vs. Superman. I thought it was pretty good. I've heard nothing but negative reviews from coworkers. We both like it.
On the ride home, we decided to start a Stephen King binge. Don't know why I started with a non SK movie. I guess because it was cheaper and easily available?
Oh... No... I think it was for selfish reasons. I had acquired a sweet Bose sound bar/sub woofer system at work for $50. Retail value is $800! Just happened to be in the right place and the right time. B vs S sounded freaking awesome.
In fact, a couple weeks ago I attended a company sponsored electronics expo where Bose presented a new system they are releasing soon. They set a demo and used B vs S to showcase the clarity of a certain scene with lots going on at the same time. Although my system is a couple years old, it sounded just as good.
Anyway... So yeah. After getting that out of my system, we rented "Misery" off Amazon. In a huge SK fan. Grew up in his childhood town after all and attended college where he was a professor back in the day. Misery was one of my favorites.
I was very pleasantly surprised at how recent or new the movie felt. Wasn't an 80's cheesy scary movie. The picture quality was really good too. Little pricey to rent from Amazon (without prime), but the quality was superior.
Great movie and Matt liked it a lot too.

Bose PA systems were what I used for years with my band. Head and shoulders above the Mackie gear I used before that. Sounds like you got a deal, Inc.
Been weird hanging out with my brother this weekend. He's in trouble. Been in the same accountancy firm since he qualified at 22 years old. 46 now and on a proper London city salary and he's being made redundant. Trying to tell him to look at it like an opportunity but it doesn't really look like that and he knows it.
We used to drink a lot together. I think he missed that this weekend. I did too if I'm honest, at times, but that's not me anymore. Feeling a bit down tonight though. Tomorrow's another day, eh?
