Just look at all that sobriety!!!!!!
Congratulations.
Well done everyone xx
I was just hear to say today is day 7 for me and just over the moon. I will not become complacent as that is what has caught me out before!!
Difficult day today - a friend of mine has inoperable brain tumours (was in remission until 3 months ago but has hit with a vengeance) and some friends have arranged a concert at the local theatre to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer nurses as well as for the theatre of which he is a huge supporter.
My son has been asked to be in it and it is tonight. It will be a marvellous event but for such a sad reason. At rehearsals yesterday my son heard two of the directors discussing the chap in question and how he is getting 'lost' in places he has known for 30/40 years. This sounds so much like a friend I lost to the same thing nearly 30 years ago.
Anyway, I shall be able to attend the concert clear headed. Will have my tissues at hand to shed a few tears but they will be 'proper' ones and not alcohol fuelled maudlin ones. And then will come home with my son and have a chat about it properly without me gradually slipping in to a stupor.
Sorry for ramble - another 24 hours for me please x
