Class of October 2014 Part 31
Thanks, Opivotol!
It's been a lazy Saturday here. The guys got back from a fishing trip at 3 a.m. and slept until noon. The dog and I have enjoyed a couple of cups of coffee together and breakfast for lunch. I hope you all are having a restful weekend as well!

Okay, crafty ladies, get a load of this:

I'm upset. I've had a terrible day, with the absolute highlight (rare sarcasm) being my neighbour's kittens outside my door, Venus going insane and biting me. Badly. I've just come home from getting treatment. I am very weepy.

Did the guys catch anything Conquest? I like fish but am not very educated on recipes for it........other than southern fried of course. Should eat more of it. I'm not a very picky eater but don't much care for fish dishes that are too 'wet' and make my plate watery, but overdone isn't good either. A good flakey dish is great. Just haven't learned many ways to prepare it.
Your chicken dish with pasta really sounds good Arbor. Your food discriptions make me hungry.
AV is an interestingly annoying thing and is really testing the waters with me of late.
Off to my mom's for lunch today and an annual indulgence in 'new potato' French fries. Maybe that's local vernacular, but when the taters are fresh from the garden anything made with them is sooooo good.
I hope the new week brings nice things for each of you.

Aw V I'm so sorry your day was difficult. I hope and you and little V are doing better today.
I made fish tacos yesterday with some baked tilapia with taco seasoning as a rub. Not fancy, but turned out tasty and a nice deviation from the usual ground turkey and beans.
I'm currently going through my daughters play doh stash and attempting to revive and sort out the viable ones. Lots of pulling apart big mixed balls to separate the colors. I'm pretty sure I told you guys about the time a ball with some tan in it turned out to contain not tan play doh, but rather a big chunk of cookie. At least I haven't come across anything like that in the current batch...yet.

A chunk of cookie in the playdough - too cute!!!!
The cookie in the play doh really made me smile. I love A.
I'm afraid to look at the bite today Leigh...I have four prong marks, one that is almost through to the bone.
Mark ~ don't forget to use Conquest's handy smasher
Thank you Arbor love. s

Ugh, V, I have been on the receiving end of a few bad cat bites from the cat we used to have. He was known to suddenly maul my leg in retaliation for having gone on a vacation, and left him home, with cat sitters coming and going. I hope you are okay and heal without infection. They hurt- those deep punctures.
So, speaking of animal wounds, who here watched The Revenant? Yikes, not for the faint of heart! It was quite a story of resiliency, strength, and perseverance.
Both kids wrapped up the soccer season this weekend. Just one more full week of school, then they have a couple of day the next week, and out for summer on the 22nd. I need to enjoy my quiet time, and time ot get things done this week.
Have some company coming next weekend. My MIL and one of my SILs are coming to visit. They will all drink. I will deal with it.
