Ugh! I hate it when that happens with AA meetings. Grrr...

Not only do the sell it in our grocery stores, they give you beer or wine to drink while you're shopping!!!

They sell it in convenience stores, gas stations, movie theaters (you can drink while watching a movie)...everywhere! And you can buy it 24/7!

Seems like a culture almost promoting alcoholism

My evening update:

Good day over all...made it through sober! Got through 2 cravings. Scared myself with the first one because my AV was planning, plotting & scheming and I was like "whoa whoa whoa! Ummmm...I don't think so!!!"

I quickly opened my journal and started reading about how horrible I felt the last time I drank! My craving went away.

When I was shopping with my daughter tonight, I bought a glass vase and some bags of marbles. Each day I stay sober I get to add another marble to the vase. It will be totally full at about a year sober. It's a great way to have a "visual" of my sober days.

I got that idea from someone in the Newcomers section several weeks ago! :-)

It kinda looks like this but obviously I don't have that many sober days yet.

Glad to see this class going so strong today, especially all the support for those struggling. Sorry I haven't played more of a part in it. I just needed a day pretty much away from the internet, I think. I did as little thinking today as I possibly could, and that's OK. I guess it's what I needed.

I'm going to finish watching the movie I started an hour ago and then head to sleep and I'm sure I'll be more active here again tomorrow. Don't want to get complacent or forget what's keeping me sober.

Thanks to all of you for keeping me sober one more day! Hope you all North Americans have a nice night, that Spacegoat has a nice morning once he rises, and that Bat-immri and Mish and Dee have a wonderful rest of their day and evening. Remember you don't have to take that first drink today no matter what sweet nothings and outright lies your addiction tries to whisper in your ear.

Sweet dreams, Sam! Enjoy your movie, Casey! Kiki, you are awesome!
I've already fallen asleep once. Think I'll go to bed now.
