Congrats to all the milestoners again ! My prior attempt to post vanished as the new thread came up so double congrats to all ! Hehe...keep it going !
Lunch yesterday was uneventful. We were all on eggshells but acted as if it was a normal Sunday lunch. Our friend looked very thin and tired but she was as warm as ever. I felt she was determined not to talk about her illness. We kept the banter fairly cheerful. In my heart I felt sad and thought it may be the last time I see her outside of a hospital. I wondered what else can I do to help.
Another 24 hours of serenity, patience and sobriety pls. Its 8:39am here !

Yay, milestoners!!
Thinking about Dad and Grandpa today- both were vets. Dad never liked to talk much about his service because of those who didn't come back...
(On a happier note- younger daughter got back safely from the mega-gigantic hip-hop festival. Older daughter was checking in on her via 'find my friends' app. Sheesh- ya never stop worrying)
24 more hours please at 9:51 in the driftless zone.

I was reading a post last night and it said about craving after so many days sober. It explained exactly like it happens with me like a spaceship entering the earths atmosphere and trying to be pulled back..So is it normal for a craving to last a few days and will it go away if I do not give into it?
I hope that those of us in the U.S. will take some time out today to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and remember those that made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. My avi today is my Uncle in his U.S. Marines uniform. He proudly served his country during some of the most intense fighting of the Korean conflict. He made it home in one piece, many of his buddies did not make it home at all. Let's remember them today.
It's 6:44 AM and I'm in for another sober 24.
