I hope that those of us in the U.S. will take some time out today to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and remember those that made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. My avi today is my Uncle in his U.S. Marines uniform. He proudly served his country during some of the most intense fighting of the Korean conflict. He made it home in one piece, many of his buddies did not make it home at all. Let's remember them today.

It's 6:44 AM and I'm in for another sober 24.

7:42 EDT and another 24 for me!

Had a slip (posted about it in Alcoholism if anyone is interested in the gory details) but today am back to commit for 24 hours.

Yesterday was difficult but still have a strong desire to live a sober life, and made it through the last 24, back on the path.

Thank you all for helping me to stay strong 💪

Thanks FBL for your Memorial Day post with the picture of your Uncle. My father's best friend didn't make it home from Korea.

I am in for another 24 at 6:05 am on a very overcast and quiet Memorial Day in Southern California.
