I swear the last two weeks of school are horrible all the way around.
My husband is a middle school teacher, and he coincidently said last night that the kids are just awful during the last two weeks of school. He cannot wait until school is out.

Kids are tired, fed up, ready for summer fun to start, hormonal, stressed, agitated....toxic soup. It's isn't a pretty picture!

Haha! Thank you, KiKi, but it'll happen when it happens. It's inevitable at this point. I'm guessing sometime tomorrow, but you never know what might inspire me to run off at the mouth at any time. Heck, who would have thought I'd find a way to talk about Englebert Humperdinck on a sobriety message board?

I heard that Friday afternoon naps are the best. I'm going to test that theory out. Talk to you all later.

Not judging or anything, but didn't you, like, just wake up?

Shh! I'm trying to sleep. Don't wake the baby!

Good to see everyone being pretty cheery now. I needed a little pick me up!

I've got a little post-milestone blues today. No real issues with cravings or anything, but more like that feeling you get after you finish a big project at work - at first there is a real sense of accomplishment and then you're like "Ok, now what?". Also, my golf game is in a bit of a funk and I've got a tournament this weekend. I know - first world problem if there ever was one! Still, I get cranky when my swing goes on vacation.

Kiki, that Chewbacca lady is funny and scary!

I read that at first as everyone being pretty "cheesy" now. Guess that works too.

I've definitely suffered from that post-milestone letdown before. Hope those feelings pass quickly and that your hitch in your golf swing goes away too. I know you know that even a down day sober is better than all those awful what ifs looming out there in a beer or whiskey or wine bottle. Hang in there, my friend. Good luck with your tournament!

I hereby give Friday afternoon naps three stars. Heading to the grocery store now for a couple of little things.

Would love to hear from anyone else who hasn't checked in yet today. For example, how are you doing, samantha14? And you're being awfully quiet, Applekat. Wishing everyone a safe and sober Friday evening or Saturday morning for those time traveling Australians!

Perhaps even more so

Glad you had a nice nap - I'm a big fan. Sometimes the quick 10 minute power nap is all I need. Other times, I'll lie down and sack out for a good 60 minutes!! Pure decadence!
