That is so sweet! I finished coffee and wrote one sentence already. That is more than I've done all week. Every day this week, the most I could manage was open the document and stare at it and then close, disgusted, hoping for better luck tomorrow. I am positive it will get going now, thank you. :grouphug:

Congrats to all the milestoners, well done one and all ! I am grateful for your achievements as they are important and remind me of the work we need to do to maintain our precious sobriety !

I was reminded last night when I had a terrible nightmare. It involved drinking, lying, cheating and a maelstrom of horrible events that spiraled in depravity. Really, really bad. I awoke agape at the depth of pure horror that had coursed through me; the sheer desperation and terror brought on by drinking and the chain of events that followed. Phew, I am so grateful it was a only a nightmare. I never, ever want to experience that all-consuming horror show which drinking engulfs you in anymore !

Thank you one and all. I am deeply grateful for your presence.

Btw, DaneK, I have a weekly AA meeting in a rehab clinic for drug and alcohol addicts. Marijuana is a common gateway drug shared by the patients. So, reflect and tread carefully !

Another 24 hours of calm emptiness, compassion and sobriety pls ! Its 9:32am here !

Fabulous post, dear Kaneda. The thought of drinking again scares the daylights out of me, too.

Sending love and wishes for sweet sober dreams, as Kris would say.

I'm technically not sober right now because I had two hard ciders and a few sips of wine...but I am willing to commit myself to not put any more alcohol in me for the next 24 hours. That should be a reasonable goal...I just hope I am strong.
