Morning everyone, made it through my first weekend, and day 4 starts today. Got the kids up and out the door, and other than being super tired, I feel great, and I'm ready to attack my day. Work, gym and home again. Mondays have never been a big drinking day for me, so I feel like it won't be a struggle, and I'm feeling very positive. Have a lovely day y'all!!
Good morning,
Day 6, and starting the first Monday at work with no hangover. Feeling better every day; face is less puffy and I have a lot more energy. Not drinking is easier on me--so much easier!
Sending strength and good thoughts to all,
RBJ

My day at work is nearly over I've got to go food shopping after work wonder what nice things I can buy instead of alcohol I would normally spend about £20 on alcohol when I go food shopping. maybe I will try some of the better brands.

That's your AV talking. You are giving yourself the option to drink by saying this. Repeat after me: I'm sure I'll make it tonight! And then you repeat this until you believe it. OK?
Joan, you don't have to drink again if you don't want to. Please stay with us. These cravings will pass, they absolutely will! It's so hard when they come, but someday we won't have them anymore. Be strong and keep posting. We are here for you.

Morning all. Checking in. Day 4. Made it thru the weekend despite the hubs bringing home vodka and beer. I kept checking in here and counted my weight watchers points. Went for a walk. Anything to keep me from thinking about it.
Really starting to pay better attention to my AV now. And retracing my posts from before the last fall has helped remind me where I've been and where I don't want to be.

Cheers for that Ben (did actually make me chuckle). Guzzling a smoothie and preparing salad for tea. Perhaps it's calming down for a bit thank god 😊
Glad you are getting through the urges jo! Each one we ride we get a little stronger!
Country gal glad you made it through despite the presence of alcohol in your house. If my guy drinks at home I tell him to drink it or dump it, but it's not staying in the house overnight. I can't be trusted alone with alcohol.

I'm new to the May thread. Had been in April thread but relapsed a couple of times. I'm on day 5 today. Relapsed twice before in day 7 so fingers crossed. My mother in law is here for the week and so far, so good. My husband drinks and we were drinking buddies so fighting that too. SR has been a lifesaver for me.
