Every time I feel a craving I'm going to pound back some water.
Going to do some yard work in the sun today.
Get ready for my first day of work tomorrow.
I have a very long to do list. Going to tweak my recovery plan too.

Hello,

Just wanted to pop in and welcome all of you! Whether you are starting out or starting again it is worth it, and I promise it gets easier.

I am a member of the January class, and like Bandi I have four months sober today. Take advantage of this class and check in with/on each other daily, you will form your own little May 2016 family!

❤️ Delilah

Work is a blessing for me. I work 24hr shifts so I know I will stay sober for the next 24 since I'm at work today.

It is good you have something structured like that. It must be very helpful!

I'm toughing it out through the nerves and anxiety waves that come and go. I really do need a pet, but am I ready to look after one? That is the question.

Hey lw, what about starting off with some lighter responsibilities? Get yourself some plants, a couple of fish and maybe look into some volunteering opportunities? Just some ideas. Try it out and see how it feels.
So many times I've tried going back to all my old responsibilities and long to do lists. I get so overwhelmed So I try to keep it simple and practice self kindness. Spent way too much beating myself up for not accomplishing enough. I'm trying very hard to celebrate all the small things including practising gratitude.

Deliza's right. Maybe a plant. Or a goldfish? You could do what Joey did on friends and glue a goldfish cracker to the inside of a fish bowl. Chandler caught on quick, though.
I have a dog, and, trust me, it's super hard sometimes to get up and care for her needs. But I do it because ig's not her fault I feel bad. Why should she suffer for my stupid stuff.
I am thinking of starting an indoor herb garden. Do you like plants? Or gardening.
Sorry post is so long. I am going through mad cravings this morning.

Just a quick check-in from the Class of March 2016 (and May 2015--hello to nmd!--and July 2013, in other words, this isn't my first rodeo.) I love that this class is already off to such a strong start this morning. I can tell you that very active participation in the March 16 class has made all the difference in my recovery as I am on day 50 (in a row!) today.

Stick close to each other. Ask for help when you need it. Help others when you can, even if it's just with a "hello" or "I'm listening", and remember that you don't have to take that first drink today no matter what big lies or sweet nothings that your addiction is throwing your way.

I'll be lurking here often. Wishing you all the best, Mayflowers!

Joining the class. I've had many, many attempts, some successful for awhile, most short lived. I'm ready to do something different and will be working on my plan. I'm on day three.

I'm looking forward to supporting everyone.

Hi grace! Hi Casey! Glad to hear you're both well

It is so beautiful here today. I've ratted on myself twice now. I want to drink so badly. So three times Tattling.
My head is seriously driving me nuts today.
Looove the weather though

Delizadee, make sure you're not hungry. Make sure you stay hydrated. Those are two of the easiest triggers to miss, but also very easy to fix.

Take a walk. Take a shower or bath. Do some gardening. Exercise. Read a book. Watch some bad reality television. Do anything but take that first drink. Those thoughts of drinking have no real power over you and they will go away with a little time and work on our part.

Right with you Deliza. Weather is gorgeous here, but my mind doesn't care. Rat on yourself. I do it all the time.
I'll get some cheese.
