24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 123
Good morning, friends. Sometimes I feel like my purpose in life is to let a dog use me as a bed, and, when they aren't asleep in my lap, my purpose is to let them in and let them out and let them in and let them out. LOL! Wouldn't have it any other way. Life is good. Checking in
I must look inside myself, to free myself. I must call upon God's power to face the person I've feared the most, the true me, the person God cre-ated me to be. Unless I can or until I do, I will always be running, and never be truly free. I ask God daily to show me such a freedom!
Here for my dose of 24 hrs. For this inactive alcoholic this is my daily medication.

Hi jsm and Venus,
Scrolling through and saw both your posts on your siblings.
Had only just talked with my psychiatrist about my brother who is very abusive, verbally/emotionally.
Initially my psych offered the standard and normal sibling rivalry stuff, but when I described his behaviour he agreed that my brothers assaults were pathological and that better to distance myself. Sad. My brother has been damaged by early childhood too but still no excuse and I'm over it. Clocking on for 24 more please.

Committing to 24 more. Day 6. Yesterday was a tough day. I felt very anxious and struggled with my AV a lot. I won. But it was an exhausting day of fighting with my own self. I went to bed very early. Grateful to wake up feeling proud that I didn't drink rather than ashamed. Congratulations to the milestoners. Have a peaceful, sober day everyone. Thanks for being here.
